Froggy fresh

You need to watch out for Rick Ross he could go into cardiac arrest at any moment, and if he falls on you that's a rap.

#4 Edited by DoctorThomasElliot (275 posts) - - Show Bio

Hopsin, J Cole, and Kendrick Lamar.

check out Jon Connor. I've only heard one song by him but in it he went pretty hard. I've also read that he's one of those "just about to blow up" rappers who just signed to Aftermath.

There's a rapper I discovered called "Locksmith" who has a song called "Fleming Street", which is pretty good if you're into more Conscience hip hop.

#7 Posted by DoctorThomasElliot (275 posts) - - Show Bio

@kgb725: My bad I thought you never listened to it before. In that case start with Apathy he's a white rapper but he's pretty damn good

Why are there so many threads about rappers today?

There aren't any anymore... Rap is essentially dead.

Insane Clown Posse. Calm down, it's a joke.

@king_saturn: Enlighten me

Hip Hop has been in the Toilet since 2007 essentially... everything these n!ggas put out these days usually is mediocre... and a lot of these new n!ggas that are telling you that Hip Hop is still alive aint nothing but a bunch of D!ck Riding Suckas who have been drawn into the mediocre music that these doo doo stain suckas are producing these days. I am sure you will hear from a few of the D Riding Clowns real soon saying how wrong I am... but that's there job... to c@ck ride and claim "Drake, Weezy, Rosay, Kendrick Lamar" or any other of the new guys are keeping Hip Hop alive... the sh!t has been dead for years... and a few hot joints from Busta Rhymes or Talib Kweli aint gonna save this sh!t.... not when every one from Eminem to Kanye West to Jay-Z is bringing out straight garbage on records.

Detox aint coming out and you know it...

Jay Electronica aint dropping either...

Don't give a poop about Logic the Rapper

Weezy ? Come on now... you know that n!gga garbage so why bring him up ?

Nicki Minaj is just nice to look act... she is average at rapping now... not as good as she used to be.

Don't give a poop about Schoolboy Q

When Kanye and Hov hooked up the first time for a Collab Album it was Average and considering that both their solo efforts last year sucked, why should I expect any quality from these n!ggas now ?

Nas aint dropping an album with Premo... it's about as possible as Detox.

Hmmmm... Pusha T is okay.

Mac Miller ? Yeah, lets go to the next one.

Wale aint that good... he's average at best.

If Outkast was to drop something... that would be noteworthy... but I don't think it will happen.

If it happens... it might be worth a listen. Kendrick seems to be holding up pretty good...

Don't give two poops about Freddie

On the real though, about 85 - 90 percent of the possible albums you posted aint worth a listen... That means Hip Hop is at 10 percent out of 100... that's not good. Dead Man Walking

@king_saturn: Then don't listen to mainstream music.

I don't... but even the underground cats are slacking up... only a few of them are really putting it down and they can't hold hip hop by themselves... they need at least some quality commercial rappers too... I like Kendrick Lamar, nice lyrical ability I guess he is kind of a leader of the commercial class... but then you got suckas like Drake who can rap but wanna sing all the damn time... makes me sick.

Because Tha Carter 5 is his retirement album so he might go back to his prime on that one

Nicki Minaj said she's going to back to her old style for the Pinkprint.

Nas said the album with Premo is coming out after his final album for Def Jam

Mac Miller's improved with WMWTSO

Wale is slept on. Listen to his pre MMG work, his mixtapes, and his freestyles. The Album About Nothing is going to be great since it's going by the same format of his best mixtape.

Big Boi might drop another album

Freddie is the best gangster rapper today so his album is going to be great.

There's all around great Hip-Hop, you're just not looking.

He does... most of Drake's big songs is with the n!gga going Hummingbird on us... and it matters because he is supposed to be an MC not a damn singer. He has the talent for Rap but he don't do it enough... at least not at the level he should.

Most of the albums you listed that are noteworthy more than likely won't drop next year... if they do... I will retract on my statement. Now Busta's album should... and that would be good.

Ces Cru has been really good since signing with Strange Music and there at least going to do a new EP this year. DOOM's got 1-3 albums coming out this year, 2 of which have been in the works for 5+ years. Del the Funky Homosapien just put out a free album a few days ago that was pretty solid. Raekwon and The alchemist both have something this year. Joey Bada$$ has a collab EP with R.A the Rugged Man in addition to his own album.
