Also how you exclude "mediocre" rappers like 2 Chains, Sosa, etc but have Macklemore, Birdman, and niccas like Nelly and Diddy on the list?

@_slim_: Macklemore is not a mediocre rapper. i included Macklemore and Nelly because they are both grammy award winning artist, An achievement many rappers have yet to accomplish. I added Birdman, because he is seen as a Hip Hop legend, aswell as a powerful hiphop mogul..much like Dr.Dre

@kingvenus: Too bad winning a Grammy doesn't always translate to being a good rapper. And yes Macklemore is very much mediocre as is Nelly.

Well my favorite MC/Rapper is Rakim Allah, "The God Emcee" himself

But my favorite of 2014 are actually not up there on the list. Killer Mike & EL-P, Run The Jewels. I'm hearing we may get Run The Jewels 3 next year possibly. *fingers crossed*

I picked 13 rappers from that list.. Why did I vote for them?

No probs. It's pretty damn good too. There was a thread in here for favorite 2014 albums last week and RTJ2 was def on my list. It very well may be my fav release from this year. HIGHLY recommend it!

I am surprised that Busta Rhymes has as many votes as he does... Busta is one of my Favorite of All Time... he's not quite as good as Nas though.
