I don't listen to too much but I do listen to:
The Ramones, The Clash, Flogging Molly, and the Dropkick Murphy's. I don't know if you'd consider Rise Against punk, but if it is, they're definitely one of my favorite bands.
@Violens: Steve Albini is god! A true musical genius.
Good to meet another who's into the strange and obscure.
These bands used to tour with The Melvins, I remember Tim Trainer and Steve Albini seemed to be in everyone of them.Scratch Acid, Big Black, Rapeman, Flipper,

I'm a child of 90s pop punk: Fat Wreck Chords, Epitath, Kung Fu.... You know, the stuff skateboarders used to listen to before hip hop took over.
Here's some of my favorites:
Misfits (Danzig)
Ramones Late80s/Early90s era
Rancid
Screeching Weasel
Dillinger Four
Vandals
NoFX
Minor Threat
and others... I'm too lazy to list right now.
You're the coolest staff member on this site. You know that right?
Thank you, but I disagree. Tony and Sara are cooler, but not by much.
Funny Little Feeling by Rock n Roll Soldiers is about as tasteless as Punk Rock can get and still be crazy awesome.
Anyone get on this thread anymore? Im new to the Vine and I just found this. This is the coolest thread on here and I hope people still check it out.
Anybody heard of the Beltones? They were from Florida and started in the 90's. Their album On Deaf Ears is definitely worth a listen, or 500.
rancid, social d, misfits, flogging molly, clash, nekromantix, against me, afi, tiger army, mad sin, descendents, dropkick murphys, godddamn gallows, blackout radio, hollow points, wiley cranes, zeke, nofx, pennywise, me first, the briggs, street dogs, fugazi, bad brains, iggy and the stooges, op ivy, RAMONES, anti flag, distillers, joe strummer and the mescalaros, rise against, the dunbar number, the beltones, etc...........
Is this really considered "punk" these days???
Where do I or these Bands stand? I am honestly curious of everyones opinion.
I.GREENday
II.Misfits
III.Sublime with or without Rome
IV. Rage Against the Machines
V. AC/DC
VI. Ozzy Osborn
VII. Slayer
VIII. NONpoint
IX.Blink-182
X.Guns and Roses
so what genre are they, and where do I stand as a fan? There are more bands I like, but I cant remember their names XP or I consider them Metal not Punk Rock.... I only put Sublime because I don't know What type of Rock/Genre they actually are I just Love em(I mean really who doesnt)
EDIT:
Can I add Danzig? since he left and I do like Graves in the group too So I like Misfits(Danzig), Misfits(Graves), and Danzig(solo career.)
@cattlebattle: Ha ha ha ha.... this is coming from a AFI and Pennywise fan....Well I usually hate genres and peoples need to label the shit out of everything but I would consider those bands punk...but not the Dreadnoughts. Any band who usually has the 3 chord progressions

@Floopay: always dug P.I.L more then the sex pistols..... pistols still cool tho
Sex Pistols are alright, but they were punks by definition is what I was getting at. Those guys were horrible, they were banned, black listed, arrested, etc. etc.
I like Irish Punk quite a bit as well... Because nothing says punk like the "lets get drunk and beat the sh!t out of each other" attitude...
Thanks for reading,
Floopay
Man.... What happened to Against Me!? They used to be such a great band. Their new stuff is just plan awful.
