Why are they labeling normal human behaviors as mental illnesses?

Pop culture shows the nerd as being oppressed but in the end they end up being the greedy oppressors. What is their problem? Did they never leave High School?

Most of the jocks and cheerleaders I knew in High School were nice. On the other hand most nerds I knew were a bunch of snobby arrogant elitist pricks.
