Prometheus and the last act

It's down to the high 70s on Rotten Tomatoes. Does a crappy third act kill this movie? The film "Sunshine" collapsed on itself during the last act, but it's still one of my favorite science fiction films. Have any of you seen Prometheus? Is the last act so bad that the entire movie is ruined?

Yes, I have seen it but I don't want to give spoilers until it releases for everyone else in the US on Friday.

@Recoil1985: I'm gonna see it in IMAX 3D on Friday. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be one of my favorites ever.

Yeah. Not really my type of movie though, I -- unpopularly -- think its going to bore me sh!tless.

I think it's based on the viewer's expectations.

If they're expecting a brilliant masterpiece, then yeah, I imagine they'll be let down. But, if they're just looking for a solid sci-fi film, I think they'll absolutely get their money's worth. My review should be up in a few hours so we can chat in greater detail there. I don't want to use this thread for all of my key points ;)
