And explain why
@jonez120: which kind of superhero/villain do you prefer ?
I like powerhouses better. The scope of the stories seems bigger and more important. That begin said street levelers are great too.
Should have made a poll bro. Street level ftw.
This.
Street Levelers. There is more you can do storywise. More angles.
And this.
Street levelers. I enjoy the martial aspect that is often incorporated with them.
And this.
Honestly the stories make more sense as the writers often have a better grasp over what the story is about and the capabilities and limitations of the character. The human mind, despite our arrogance to the contrary, can't truly comprehend the power required to break a planet with a punch or move at the speed of light. It's simply a number to us, but the actual feat itself is incomprehensible. So the stories tend to get more ridiculous in my opinion, even more ridiculous than street level stories often are. Plus the stories feel more intimate. Struggling to "save everyone" doesn't have the same emotional impact as trying to save one person in my opinion, it's a much more intimate story.

Well said man. Now that I think about it, I kind of agree.
I like both as long as their written well - my favorite characters from Marvel & DC are on vastly different levels.
Marvel - Spiderman & Iron Fist
DC - Flash & Captain Cold
In terms of debating - I started out at more of a Street Level guy but after doing a couple High Tier tournaments and they were pretty fun as they required some REALLY diverse team building.

It's just my opinion of course. Everyone has preferences in storytelling and what they find compelling.
Good stories.
This too though. I can get into any story if it's well written even with my preferences.

Powerhouse Women. ;)
@wolverine08: That's actually me! :D
I don't mind powerhouses but when they are OP for the sake of having their powers getting them out of any situation
Good stories.

Both have their place. I think I tend to enjoy street levelers a little bit more because I can relate to them a bit more as they seem to deal with more real world issues.
That said, I read plenty of powerhouses that I'm certainly not going to knock them.
