Post Counts Competition?

I've noticed a lot lately that people are trying to get their post count up.

There are threads of some users expressing their pride in their post count and many new users that have joined since the beginning of the year have already 3000+ if not 5000+ posts within a few months.

Why do these people find it so important to get their post count up?

Because once you get to 10,000 posts you get to join a super secret super awesome club!!

@the_invincible_one: idk people tend to think more posts = more important but I just see it as people like to talk.

If i add my mains acc with tis acc i have over 10.000

It's nothing new. I guess it gives a sense of accomplishment? However hollow it may be. The same reason you might farm achievements in a video game.

It shows how far you have come as a viner.

I used to care about post count, then I took a girlfriend to the knee : P

I stopped caring about my post count as soon as I hit 20,000.

It's always been that way, but high post count is definitely not an indication that anything a user says is actually worth paying attention to. Just proves they type and hit reply more often than other people. Haven't ever really found it interesting.

@the_invincible_one: I always say that it doesn't matter how many post you have, as long as you make them count. I've joined CV in 2011 and that's the way I try to carry myself.

Quality Over Quantity...,but I just prefer Quantity :P
