Police getting out of hand.

@pooty: Yes it is not vital but who are the government to say that you can't grow it on your own pproperty. You're not hurting anyone.

If the government one day outlawed chrysanthemums you could no longer grow them because they said so would that be ok?

The government is far from perfect. But growing weed is very very low on the list of things that need to be fixed.

Just look at all the videos all over the net and you will see the police have been out of control for sometime.

This needs to stop. Standards for police hiring need to be raised: a higher IQ, no more tasers, no more fat police, they need to understand they are not the law.

The police are only in place to uphold the law and serve the public. The police are only civil servants, nothing more.

Here's some people taking it upon themselves to stop police brutality.

People look at it like this. All cops are bad, one you put on the uniform you go bad. EFF THE POLICE.

When in reality a bad person becomes a bad cop. One of the greedy d*cks who grew up saying EFF the police, who never respected authority found a way to slip into that authority and abuse and exploit it. A douchey greedy person got power and abused it. Not all people do this, but yes some cops are bad. I notice a lot of off duty cops also drink and drive when they leave the bars around here too.

It's funny, people keep saying police are awful and such, but I've seen one, maybe two cases of that in the news in the past year or so. And I think one of them was a mountie, so I'm not sure they count.

This one time I was out for a walk with my boyfriend when this policeman stopped us (we were on government (yet public) property around midnight, I've had stopped us too), asked us what we were up to, and then proceeded to chat with us for something like an hour. He was, hands down, one of the nicest guys I've ever met.

I find it hilarious how people hate on the whole of police in general.

Meh. I hate to say it,but does it even matter to people anymore?

I mean,the case of many police officers that have been abusing their power has been going on for how long now? All that will happen is that many people will downplay the incident,support the cops till the death (especially with the commonly used argument of "They shouldn't have looked suspicious",which,for some reason,reminds me of the "she was asking for it" argument), look the other way while generalizing that there are only two possible stances:

• Those that support all cops
• Those that hate all cops and believe all to be bad.

And so on and so forth. Hell,I've read countless arguments in which people don't even see a problem with things like racial profiling,harassment of certain social groups,etc (or they just pretend that they only happen once every 500 years).

I've long given up on people,especially in social matters because there's no hope for them. "F*ck it" is how I choose to look at it.

That's just me,though.

By the way,I should know that people are gonna skim read through this and,because it's not "Golly! Every cop is full of cherries and rainbows! I can't say that there is a single bad one that does a single bad thing" they are gonna misinterpret it as me saying "f*ck da police",but that's not my point at all.Not even close. I am not even talking about all cops,or even most. Just clearing the air for those that can't read.

If you don't like the laws police officers are tasked with enforcing talk to your representative/councilman/etc...they make the laws, not police.

Don't like cops.. never have (idc if so and so did this over doing that.)

I have no respect for people who abuse power like the government puppets they are. They Kill when it's unnecessary and it's alright because it's procedure then get paid and a pat on the back and afew “ good job out there ”s

I'm not sure if it's because our police aren't allowed guns, but they seem to be nicer than the American police (though that could be the media playing up). There was a local officer who was a bit of a ****, but actually didn't do anything brutal, yet he still got demoted to a desk job as he must have got complaints.

Yes, there are bad police, and yes they should be taken care of, but just hating cops in general and talking bad about them does nothing constructive.

Where did all of that come from? Not only that,but I don't know a lot of people that said "f*ck the police" on this thread (although it's common on Youtube). I don't even know a lot of people that said that "they're all terrible",unless you're just making a point. And even though some are bad,that number is still far too high (especially over the years,unchecked),and they feel that they can get away with it (and people support them,anyway. At least,in specific circumstance)/ Although I think that most are good people

And not directing this toward you,and I'm just throwing this out there (in general),but there are more than 2 stances on the matter(as said by cameron83)-

• All cops are good,everything the cops do are good.
• All cops are bad,everything the cops do are bad. They shouldn't exist.

It's a bit of a misrepresentation of someone's POV to boil it down to something so simple. It is not as simple as these two things,which pretty much simplify it to extreme levels.

It's like saying that everyone that doesn't like Luke Cage is a racist.

Anyway,I think that a lot abuse their power,but I think that most (there are a lot of cops) don't.

There is corruption. Lots of police abuse their abilities. I'm not sure if it's getting worse or not, but what is getting worse is the forcefulness of federal law enforcement. I know a lot of people will say I'm wrong, but things in this country ARE getting worse. We are becoming a socialist nation, and fast. I'm not saying something stupid like we should get rid of the government. We need the government. What does need to happen though is for people to start getting educated, and not just with what the mainstream media tells them.
