This looks so bad, the acting is bad, the special effects are bad. THe acting is really bad. It's like channing tatum and john cena in the same movie.

Syfy will just take any script out of the gutter and make it a film.

I'm submitting my own screenplay to them. Ninja Cowboy Zombies vs Alien Robo-Pirates! I'm betting they'll make it a movie in no time.

@CaioTrubat: Close. It's Roger Corman, who was doing horrible movies long before those guys came along.

Really?! I liked some of his movies such as Battle Beyond Stars and the Raven! He made some decent movies and people mostly remember him for his bad stuff. He is Brian DePalma compared than those guys.

#20 Posted by Nordok (693 posts) - 1 year, 4 days ago - Show Bio

@CaioTrubat: True. He's not consistently bad, but when he's bad, he's really bad. The SyFy channel is kind of a perfect match for him, in that regard: some very enjoyable films mixed in with a large amount of barely-watchable cinematic embarrassment, lol.

SyFy needs to be shot in the face for this crap.

#22 Posted by Nordok (693 posts) - 1 year, 4 days ago - Show Bio

@Ms. Omega: A bit extreme, but an understandable sentiment. I used to enjoy it when it was the "Sci-Fi" channel, and they played a lot of classic movies and series.

#23 Posted by Ms. Omega (3560 posts) - 1 year, 4 days ago - Show Bio

@Nordok: Your right I do miss the old "Sci-Fi" they actually showed some decient things back then now its pure crap.

#24 Posted by Nordok (693 posts) - 1 year, 4 days ago - Show Bio

@Ms. Omega: I have the same complaint about the History channel.

#25 Posted by Ms. Omega (3560 posts) - 1 year, 4 days ago - Show Bio

@Nordok: LOL dont get me started on that channel :)

#26 Posted by Nordok (693 posts) - 1 year, 4 days ago - Show Bio

@Ms. Omega: "The History Channel: because as long as it's not being broadcast live, it's technically history."

That trailer was good for some laughs

Has anyone ever done the research to see if these movies actually make or lose money for the SyFy channel?

@k4tzm4n: You know, if they really want to boost ratings, they should purchase the rights to MST 3K, hire as many of the original cast and crew that they can, and reboot that series, allowing them to mock their own movies. I would watch THAT.

The best thing the SyFy Channel does these days is occasionally rerun old episodes of The Twilight Zone and The X-Files.

I don't know I kind of like Lost Girl even if it is Changeling: The Lost, the television series.

Haven't gotten around to watching Lost Girl. How've you been liking it?

I like it actually. Its production values aren't so high all in all but I find that I like the characters and the stories. You're not gonna get Shakespearean theater, but it's fun and interesting at times.
