If you had to sign one player in FA which one would it be and why ?

I think P. George is better than Carmelo Anthony right now

Adrianna Melo is a great artist. Truly great!

I'd hire her to draw practically any comic.

Paul, he's younger.

Probably Carmelo...

Paul George easily. Melo is a cancer, the team who as him can't win. George is more clutch, more athletic, younger and a better 3-point shooter.

Carmelo didn't have tons of help this year though in the Playoffs... George has a better overall team around him... and as far as more clutch... didn't dude have like 7 points in the closeout game against the Heat ?

@king_saturn: If it wasn't for him they wouldn't have been in that situation even though he did make mistakes late in games

He still flamed out in the Game that they most needed him in... that's not including those showings where he had like 12 and 13 pts against the Heat.

So it's better to have an Inconsistent Star than a Consistent one ?

The closeout game was a total mess for the Pacers. Everyone was playing like shit. And i don,t really agree on the first sentence. Melo had an equal team around him IMO. JR, Chandler and Shumpert vs Hibbert, West and George Hill. If Granger was playing i would agree with you, but he wasn't.

Yeah, but your boy George was really stinking it up... plus dude had a couple of games where he could not even crack 15 points. Anthony did not really have a better team around him... when has Chandler ever been known as an Offensive Threat ? Hibbert is much better in terms of Offense than Chandler... JR Smith is pretty good... Shumpert is decent too. Shumpert aint as good as David West and you know this man. West is a 2 time all star. Shumpert aint been to know all star games or has any legit quality playoff experience. George had the better overall team around him.

@king_saturn: Melo isn't always consistent either and shot his team out the playoffs

#15 Edited by dccomicsrule2011 (24900 posts) - - Show Bio

@cheesesticks: Nonsense.

Hibbert was much better then Chandler last year, JR Smith sucked in the playoffs, and Shumpert was the only one out of the players you named that played up to par. I'm not even a Melo fan, and I can tell you that much.

He was pretty consistent this year in the Playoffs. The only problem was he didn't have a lot of help... he shot with tons of volume because he really only had JR Smith as a legit second scorer for what it's worth. Chandler aint no offensive presence and Shumpert really has not established himself yet.

Paul Jorge becuz he plays D which Carmelo hasn't shown to do in a consistant bases. Carmelo needs the ball in his hands at all the times in order to be effective were Paul doesn't he affects the game through playing D and getting those hustle points and creating shoots for his other teammates

Pacers were better defensively but the Knicks are better offensively. Novak and all the three point shooter.

That can't be true... because the Knicks Offensive Weapons was essentially Non Existent in the Playoffs. Chandler isn't an Offensive Weapon... JR Smith was one but he shriveled up in the Playoffs... Shumpert played pretty good but it wasn't like he was good for 20 pts a night... Novak is a good shooter but again... he is a specialist... not really a guy who can create his own shot. Pacers are technically better than the Knicks offensively and defensively in terms of overall play because they have more weapons. The only gripe you can have with Anthony is that he takes a great volume of shots without passing the ball... but it's understandable when he doesn't have a great deal of weapons to pass to anyways... I recall certain gripes being said about this guy who used to play for the Chicago Bulls back in the mid to late 80's who was supposedly pretty good too.

@king_saturn: I know their playoff run was bad, i was talking on paper. You said the Pacers were better, but they also had a bad playoff run. On paper, both team are about equal IMO and i'm not a Knicks fan.

I'm taking PG. I think Melo has peaked and i'm not impressed. IMO he didn't take that next step like Wade or Lebron did. I don't think Melo is a HOF. PG has room to grow.

On paper they still aren't as good though... Anthony plays with no legit all star on the Knicks anymore since Stoudemire is a shell of himself and always hurt... Paul George has West ( who could be an all star the way he played and has been twice ) and Hibbert ( who is one of the better big men in the league and was an all star last year ). I don't think the teams are equal at all... not anymore.

@king_saturn: Well, Hibbert was only good in the playoff. He wasn't as good as the previous season. We were all kinda surprise of his good numbers during the playoff.
