An old saw runs that the worst advertisement for Christianity has been the behaviour of its self-proclaimed adherents. Substitute "Islam" for "Christianity"  and you may get the point of Pakistani minister Ghulam Ahmad Baroul who over the weekend offered a $100,000 "bounty" on the head of "Innocence Of Muslims" filmmaker Nakoula Bassily Nakoula/Sam Bacile. Not that it really matters, but I am curious- firstly is this bounty payable only to the "brothers" of the Taliban/Al Qaeda(ie Muslims) or can ANYBODY(irrespective of religious belief)? Will the putative bounty be paid upon the killer's production of the severed head of Mr Nakoula? What about the rest of him. How will it be paid? It is true that every faith has its loonies( "Rev" Terry Jones springs to mind), but the self-declared "Religion Of Peace" seems to have more than its fair share of them- or is that "Islamophobic" or "racist" to point this out?

What do YOU think?

I think Muslims are taking this way too far. This kind of over reaction is exactly what creates such negativity towards Islam.

Islam is an awful religion, its not racist to point that out.

I'm pretty sure that's the reaction the offenders wanted : an overreaction and uncivilized anger towards them.

You contradict your own self, Im willing to bet you barely know any Muslims and yes it is not racist its just insane, whether you think Islam is awful or not matters not because it is followed by 1 in every 5 people on Earth. Secondly i think the bounty encompasses anyone, Muslim or not, this guy is a scumbag i dont know why he ever thought doing this would bring any positivity, people who hate Islam stand up for him, and now tensions are higher than ever.

I dont see why it is insane to mention that Islam is awful.I dont have to know any Muslims to say that, just do some research into it.Im not saying that muslims are awful but big parts of islam are.Just look at the countries where Islam is forced upon people. There are third world countries where they execute people who aren't Muslim.Do I even have to mention AL Qaeda?

I find it ironic how Islam is such an intolerable religion yet they expect everyone to respect it.I mean people have been killed because of this film, its ridiculous but its somehow excused because its a religion.

Here's what I think:

1. Blaming all Muslims for terrorism and extremism is like blaming all Christians for people like Jim Jones and Adolf Hitler. Some of my closest friends are Muslim, and they loathe and deplore the use of violence in a religious context.

2. I have a friend of a friend who worked computers for special forces over there, and he died over this stupid mess. Poor guy was just an IT worker, basically, and his entire team got wiped out become someone didn't like A FILM. (While we're on the subject, check out what happened to Molly Norris, a journalist who defended South Park after the infamous "201" episode)

Despicable.

People will always find a reason to hate each other and I will never understand it. That is my opinion on this subject.

For every action...there is a REACTION. I'll say.

It irritates me so much when people do this. It's just so terribly misinformed and.. well, stupid.

This is quite possibly the biggest overreaction I've ever seen to anything.

This information does not surprise me, things have grown far too tense, of course someone would overreact.

Sorry but I don't think Jesus is the anti-Muhammed.

We should all learn to respect each other. Even those we STRONGLY disagree with.
