Overrated Films

So what movies do you think are overrated? A couple that immediately come to mind for me are:

1 The Blair Witch Project

2. Paranormal Activity

Blair witch wasn't scary at all and the non-stop cussing was annoying.

Same for P.A. minus the cussing.

Discuss :)

The Blair Witch Project really isn't scary at all today. Looking back, I can understand though.

Paranormal activity scared me.... The other two didn't, but the first got to me abit. I mean come on the idea of something invading your home, knowing its there, but unable to see it, it taking over your body.....

Inception in my opinion is overrated. Its a cool movie but to me it was just that, and nothing crazy special. Some people salivate while even thinking about it thats why I say its overrated.

I think that such thing as overrated or underrated depend on opinions after all, we all choose what would make an impact in our life, and we can't define what is overrated or underrated because we all see the stuff in a different way.

X-Men First Class. Actually ANY Marvel movie made by Fox, they aren't bad just not as good as the stuff Marvel is making with Sony.

Actually, I used to be a big fan of Spider-Man prior to OMD, which is why it hurts. The truth is, Spider-Man used to be one of my favorite comics, next to the X-Men, Star Wars, and Batman. But that has ceased to be. Personally, I liked Spider-Man in the 90s and I liked the comics involving him around Civil War. Once OMD came around, I disliked him and I still do to this day.

Also, I liked Spider-Man 1 and 2 by Raimi.

1. It destroyed the character development that had been built up over the years. I loved it when he was married to MJ, stopped working for the Bugle, and was actually teaching a class of students - a profession that I always thought suited him. I liked seeing him grow up from a teen to a man. I liked Spider-Man: Blue (a comic made before Loeb went crazy)

2. I don't really see that. But that's also why I don't like Iron Man 2 - same exact thing as Iron Man 1, and that's what I'm worried about with Iron Man 3.

...I really loved that, seeing him as a teacher was one of the greatest things that happened on that period, ok, it seems good enough reason to stop. Currently I am not reading Amazing Spider-man but I stopped because I don't enjoy Dan Slott's writting style that much, also Humberto Ramos' art kinda annoys me and also distracts me from enjoying the issue.

Well, Iron Man 2 wasn't a bad movie because it was like the first one, it was a bad movie because it was a BAD movie, currently , I don't know what expect from Iron Man 3, but I always expect the worst.

Avatar was overrated I saw the movie, I was to busy getting all the butter out my popcorn. Other than the visuals it wasn't that awesome.

The Expendables (they underused the cast handling most of the action to Stallone and Staham through out the movie)

X-Men First Class (I know Fassbender and McAvoy were the best part, but the rest was ugh!)

Prometheus (Was good alright but didn't live up to the hype)

First of all...How can you not find Paranormal Activity scary??? I feel the opposite way, it's the only horror movie I have ever seen that actually did scare me, the subtly is what does it.

Shawshank redemption.

Napoleon Dynamite. I watched it with a group of friends, and they were all howling like baboons while I think I chuckled once. I just found it kind of boring and depressing.
