Openly celebrating abortion.
Outrageous abortion advertisement.

Being a proud mother... This is a shaky topic for me. I would never get one. But I don't hold other women to my own personal standards. I just don't like it when people use abortion as a means of birth control. There are women who get them over and over and over and over again... It makes me sad.
@MasterJohn: For someone who felt so bad for making threads that attracted a lot of attention...you sure do make a lot of threads that attract a LOT of attention

That should be banned, Contraception is there for a reason.
Yeah... this was pretty gross. I was on the edge about abortion and women's rights before, but now I just can't get this out of my mind. This advertisement just made me pro-life. Nice job creepy dude from True Blood, way to keep it classy.

Fetuses are delicious.
LOL OMG
A girl at my high school was protesting an abortion center being made in Houston.
My reaction?
... I sang the babyback ribs song.
To her face.
True story.

Jack is my son. You are talking about eating babies. That is gross. If you even looked at my son I would hit you in the face with a baseball bat, breaking your jaw.

There is something seriously wrong with these people.
Its a serious thing is all. Its not something that people should treat like nothing.
There is something wrong with alot of people on this website. You, as far as I can tell, are pretty even toned and one of the more intelligent in the crowd, though.
At any rate, I do not support abortion in any cases. If the mother could have complications that could kill her during birth, I truly feel sorry for the husband, wife, and child, and if I ever got married and this happened I would be very ambivalent about the whole event (birth of a child, loss of a spouse); but, the life of the child should always be more important to the mother and father than the life of either of the parents. The basis of love is self sacrifice. If you're not willing to shove your child out of the way of a car, for instance, to get hit yourself, but would rather have them be hit by the car... I would never even suggest that you loved that child. The same goes for abortions to help keep the mother alive. Once you get pregnant, the child should be your life until it's grown. It should also be much of the Father's life. It is the most important thing you can do on earth, to have a child with the person you love.

I would die before my child died, I took that chance when I had Jack. I have a heart condition and they told me my chances of making through the pregnancy were smaller then most and I did it anyways. And thankfully I lived and so did my child. We would have ether lived together or died together... Which was fine by me because if Jack would have died, I wouldn't have wanted to live anyways.
I suggest that from now on we turn every MasterJohn thread into a baby eating thread.
That said,

You know some people really do eat the placenta after the child is born. I often wonder what things would taste like, such as elephants, bear testicles, and cow utters. I guess I could add fetus and placenta to that list.
I know animals do that, but I've never ever heard humans actually doing that, and I have to say I find your post more than a little creepy.

True. While this is commonplace amongst animals in the wild to offset predators who could sniff out the vulnerability of the newly born, it hasn't been really documented amongst humans. The school of thought here is eating the placenta could potentially stave off post-partum depression and raise the threshold of pain tolerance in those who ate it but there has been no scientific prooof of this. Its been suggested human placentophagy could have been advantageous in an environment where malnutrition was/is prevalent but in developed countries, most experts contend partaking in the practice is not beneficial at all since lack of nutrients in diet is not common.
Interesting though. And it's not against the law.
