Count every word you have said since the day of your birth.

Who disagrees?

EDIT: You can add more mind-bogglingly impossible stuff here if you'd like.

Yes.

It really is. If you tried and even if you remembered every word you've said since then you would take forever to do it seeing as you're saying more words as you count :p.

Another thing though, what if you got £10 for every word you've said since birth? How rich would you be?

That's an interesting question. Would that be enough to make me as rich as Bill Gates?

Perhaps, depending on your rate of conversation, talk for no reason, years you've lived on this world, and such.

You could say about a thousand words in one month, who knows?

Or a million in one year. It would be even less if it were £10 per sentence though... :p.

Besides this, how come you still have the default avi after 8000+ posts here?

Because Mr. OptimusPrime, beneath this account is an idea and ideas are anonymous.

Well I guess you have your reasons :p.

Makes your account look a tad more generic though, besides the post count.

Anyways, back to this topic:

You might take forever to count that long even if you remembered every word.

20000 words? Women? Average?

I knew they were into conversations but this....

Anyways that would be a lot of money and no one would be poor at all.

Just imagine what it'd be like...No crime at all, no suffering on account of money, etc.

Most impossible? Impossible is an absolute.

It's certainly near-impossible , especially if you count aloud...

Hmm, you could be a monk or a mute that would make it easier.

It would certainly qualify for Absolutely Impossible because you wouldn't even be able to recall how many words you've said in your lifetime since birth and how many times each word was said. And even if you do, you'd just keep adding to the number.

For you and me it would be impossible, although I once read a book by Darren Shan where a character dies and his hell is endless numbness and he remembers his entire life, although he probably ascended human recollection capabilities.

I'd also say in controlled environments it would be possible, like if you were rendered mute at birth, and you could count silently or via writing. Or if you had never said a word and simply said 'One' and evaded the infinite loop of counting aloud. Or if you never stopped the one word via some kind of breathing system that gave your lungs the necessary air, and you could have things in your head forcing your mouth to shout, even in your sleep. Or every word you ever spook or had some ridiculous form of autism. Hmm, maybe blind people would be better at that...

@iamoptimusprime: For a human i'd say it's impossible, not only wouldn't you have memory of all your words or the brain capacity to count them efficiently, but you'd most likely be using more words as you count. So yes, the statement in the OP is pretty much impossible.

@iamoptimusprime: Definitely. Although if someone wanted to, I'm sure they could look through a dictionary and mark the words they think they said. But yeah it does sound impossible. Lol

And time-consuming, too.

Just as much as trying to count each grain of sand on the beach or even each grain of salt in a jar/bag. Both are things that we cannot successfully do.

A study that was made public the previous summer.

"Women use an average of 20,000 words a day, compared to the mere 7,000 that men utter. At least that’s the assertion of a number of self-help and popular science books. Quoted by apparently authoritative experts and widely reported, it’s a statement that bolsters the stereotype of the fairer sex spending their days gossiping, while the stoic men folk get on with it, whatever it is, without the need to chatter. But is it actually true?"

You could probably get a good estimate. Like a statistical average. But getting the exact number is impossible.

Yep, it is.

But averages are also hard to come by, especially since there's no set number of words spoken per year.
