I will make a review of Slumdog Millionaire tomorrow but just to get this going it is one of the best story telling I have seen in a movie. The way portrayed is original and perfect for the type of movie it was
Taken is one of the best movies I've seen in awhile. Yet it isn't really getting much ink. I keep hearing about Ben Button (not bad, lil long though), and Underworld 3 (so so film). Whats up with that?

I going to watch Taken probably on the weekend but I want to see Push first. Underworld I think got hit with the why isn't Kate in it BS but all in all it was very entertaining and Im still waiting to see Button...
I did see The Wrestler recently and I'll make a review on that some time soon too. Marisa Tomei did it big for the cougars of the world...She was SMOKING hot in that movie

I Saw taken and it was absolutly freaking awesome. Liam at the ripe old age of 56 he can still make the world know "Im a f@#king badass, dont mess with me." And it was one of the coolest movies ive seen in a while

Last movie I saw just yesterday. If you are looking for a great perfomance that is worthy of an oscar go to watch Benjamin Button or Just a dream, however if you want to laugh with a comedy based on such a simple concept that let's us a good living lesson..go watch this movie.
"Yes!" features Jim Carrey as a guy who after having a miserable, lonely and incomplete life (he is kind of a boring jerk..) enters a new program in which he has to accept to everything that is proposed to him. Remember "Liar Liar" when he couldn't say anything that wasn't true? This is a similar situation with the word no.
With various scenes that are surely to make you laugh this movie will leave you a smile on the face, a movie doesn't have to be a really interesting one to be a good one.
I went and saw this movie with my roommate (The Hottness) last night after my brother and a girl from work raved about how great it was. They didn't give away much about the movie mostly saying that it was something that you just had to go see for yourself. Not to mention they both made claims that it was one of the best movies that they have ever seen. That plus all the Golden Globe and Oscar talk, we were like what the hell, and went to see what the buzz was about.
The film centers around an 18 year old Indian guy named Jamal. He is a contestant in the Indian version of the popular show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and is on the verge of winning the grand prize but before the last question was read time ran out and they had to continue on the next day. This is where the film gets interesting. Being that he is a Slumdog (a person that was raised in the slums of Indian with little to no education) they accuse him of cheating and take him to jail where they begin to torture him to try and figure out how he was able to answer so many questions correctly.
Each question that he had just answered correctly is presented to him again one by one and he has a story about how being a Slumdog made him know the answer to all the questions asked to him. It cuts to flashbacks of two different periods in his life that also include his brother and love interest showing the things that happened to him to make him remember the questions that were asked.
It is truly something that you have to see for yourself to appreciate. It is backed by a score that is perfect for the type of movie that this is and the way this story is told is for lack of a better word incredible.
This is truly an amazing animated film. It follows the exploits of everyone's favorite detective through a series of tales. With each story we see Batman evolve through different time periods. From urban legend to vigilante crime fighter, this film doesn't skip a beat. My favorite story of the collection though doesn't revolve around Batman, but Bruce Wayne. I wont spoil it for thoughs who haven't seen it, but it focuses on a young Bruce and his training. Great story.

Zack an Miri Make a Porno
Alright i want to start this review with one thing. If you dont like Rogan or random nudity then dont watch this movie. I really dont enjoy Rogan but i love Jay an Randal from Clerks so i picked it up, plus i cant pass up a movie that has Graphic nudity in the rating its the inner perv in me. Okay to the review
The movie itself wasnt really all that funny, the things that were supposed to be funny really werent. Altho some specially towards the end of the movie were absolutly hilarious i never want to hear the words "Sh!t faced" ever again cause of one of the scenes. But it really wasnt that bad of a movie im glad i got it free from the local store cause well i go their all the time because i wouldnt have wanted to waste four bucks on it. But the scenes between Zack and Delanny reminded me too much of a me an my buddy so i enjoyed it. Overall the movies a rent, dont buy this movie its a waste of money. But if your bored on a friday night rent it for a good laugh.

Alright now i realize why i didnt go to see this in the movie theater, cause my laughter at the unlaughable parts would have again had people staring at me. This movie was fun an wild Gerald is funny in his own way in this movie. The entire movie was enjoyable, i didnt want to pause it for a second because i was that entertained. An having Gerald Butler and Idris Elba in the same scream was pure freaking hilarious at times, specially during the Ass kick scene or what i like to call "Do these guys never go down" the movie was really entertaining. Really would have liked to see more of Toby Kebbel as a junkie more than waht he was shown in cause he pulls it off hilariously an with an awesome genius touch to it.
The ending made it open for another installment which id love to see, also a little bit more camera time for Handsome Bob cause well the situation hhe had with Mr. One Two was just f@#king hilarious.
This is another rent for other people, I personally am buying it when I get some extra cash. Some of the movie might not be for people with...well no humor what so ever but still extreamly cool movie.
O M F G what a pile of shite! I was excited about this film, as someone who loves musicals and horror, i was hoping it would live up to my hopes.. im sorry to say it did not even come close.. this film was one of the WORST i have seen in some time. Anthony Stewart Head and Terrance Zdunich who played the grave robber.. where both very good and i do believe without them this film would have fallen on its butt in pre production. The editing was beyond awful, direction terrible and cinematography was average at best, the songs were pathetic, whoever wrote this needs to get a day job.. Im sorry to say but its my opinion. The production was a cross between the Crow and Dark City, it had potential to be very dark and foreboding but most of it looked very CGI and warehouse produced. The singing was average at best with Head and Zdunich as exceptions, Blind Mags was also quite good. The sections that pained me the most where the cut in we are trying to be hip and cool comic book designed sections to explain the past events of characters.. not needed and basically made me think they had no confidenc in the script. The costumes were tragic, they had the chance to REALLY camp it up and have some over the top glam Goth outfits but sadly most of them looked like I could buy them from my local goth shop (with the exception of the Repo Man outfit, that was very cool indeed), but mostly nothing special at all. BILL MOSLEY was the biggest dissapointment for me.. wtf was he thinking taking that role?? The brothers were the MOST pathetic and his talents were lost in an inane character that was boring at most.
I was over this film 5 minutes into it, i recommend if you REALLY have to see it download or wait til DVD.
Right, I love Jack Black...He's perhaps my favorite actor (I know I know), so naturally I decided to try this one out. Its good, the acting was good...Danny Glover was great, Jack Black was hilarious however I was'nt impressed really with Mos Def's performance. There were some obvious plot-holes I noticed over the course of the film....but this is a comedy, so lets not take it too seriously.
The first part of the movie (trying to reshoot Ghost Busters) was hilarious, the rest sorta gradually fell flat.
Overall, Check it out on HBO or rent it...don't buy it, It's not worth it.
Pride And Glory is a rather typical cop movie (not a action cop move, but a normal cop movie) in it's plot. Four police officers are brutally killed, and the rest of the NYPD seeks to find the drug dealer and put him away for good. Unfortunately, there are some differing "methods" of how this should happen and how steep the punishment should be, and soon enough, the department is practically torn apart through corruption and greed.
Holy crap, this movie is, for the lack of a better word, ugly. There is not a lot of happiness in this show-most of it is arguing between friends and family and a LOT of cursing. Seriously. This movie has some of the most cursing I've ever heard. This is possibly more than Scarface levels of f-bombs.
Anyways, back to the movie.
The acting, I thought, was good. Performances ranged from angry to obviously sad to the rare moment of happiness. Leading the cast is veteran actor Edward Norton and Colin Farrell. I thought Norton was great as the film's lead, and his performance reinforced my opinion that while the movie I see him in might not always be good, he'll always be good in it.

The film started out well, but as it passed it's one hour mark, thing started to go downhill, slowly (it's over two hours long). It felt, almost, that half an hour or so could've been shaved off and you wouldn't have missed as much. By the end, I was really starting to wonder "so.....when are the credits going to roll?", and that is the ultimate flaw that this movie has.
The first hour was engaging and entertaining, but after the initial main conflict is resolved and a new one appears, things just aren't as fun. Couple that with the brutally serious atmosphere, and this isn't exactly the type of movie that you want to see more than once.

Taken is old news I saw it weeks ago. :P (yes i Do realize it came out on the 30th. What can I say apparently my dad has his sources.)
But its good. One of the best so far.
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans wasn't terrible. I liked it. But it got old rather fast. I liked how it delved into Lucian's past with Viktor. And one of the sex scenes was a bit funny. I had to laugh. But overall it wasn't the best Underworld movie. None of the new ones top the first. I'll write a proper review when I get the chance.
