Yeah Boy !!! Obama has won the Democratic Nomination ! Obama has 2119 Delegates pushing him over the amount needed to Nominate of 2118. So the current count stands...

Barack Obama - 2119

Hilary Clinton - 1918

#12 Posted by Slinger (7640 posts) - - Show Bio

Oh, I hope to God Ms. Clinton bows out gracefully. That's an awful close margin...

HAHA OBAMA! OBAMA! FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT

not to be funny but I hope he doesn't get assassinated or something, because you know there's people out there that will do it.

#16 Posted by Shadowscale (51 posts) - - Show Bio

Eh, I'm still a McCain guy

#17 Posted by The Devil Tiger (1263 posts) - - Show Bio

Heh ! My feeling are very mixed about that. If he lose the persidential election, it will let me a bad taste in my mouth, but if he win, he will face the end of war in Irak, and that will be a verrry touchy subject in the higher circle of power in the white house, and after that, in the first time at least, he will be the case-of-study for a "black presidency". Feel the pressure Obama, feel the pressure !

And I hope he will not be assassinated, cause I can't imagine the rift it will create between the community in USA, Damn, in all the world ! Frankly we are at one step between tragedy or glory.

When Obama chooses a VP in would NOT be Hillary. It would need to be an older, white, male

or a younger one. John Edwards. Im sure he didnt gracefully hand over his delegates to Obama only to be thrown out in the cold. :)"

Eh, He couldn't even win his own state.

#30 Posted by Slinger (7640 posts) - - Show Bio

Yeah, but if there's anything to be learned from the 2000 election, it's that the popular vote don't mean jack.

maybe if she checks her ego before walking through the door.

I believe she said she would consider it.

Slinger says:

I disagree totally. Why Edwards? A man who lost the primary, lost as VP in 04, lost in those Primaries, and even lost his home state..... I just can't see it. He's not a winner

He lost the primaries. I never said the campaign

#38 Posted by Slinger (7640 posts) - - Show Bio

Because Edwards is likable for the most part, and doesn't come with the eqo. You get the idea he'll follow orders.

#39 Posted by No_Name_ (17403 posts) - - Show Bio

If obama wanted to win and unite the party again, hillary would be his best bet.

Never say never.

The only thing going for him is his sappy story and the support coming from Blue collar white american mine workers. Not much of a candidate.

I agree, but they spent the last, how many months? Crucifying each other I think it'll be tough for them to get past that...

BatgirlBabs says:

"And the best way to get past it is by joining together. It would not only unite the party, but reinforce the fact that they have basically the SAME SENATE VOTING RECORD as well as that they have the same perspectives on most issues"
