Who is worse? Who did you like better? Here are some of their highlights.

Obama:

-Benghazi

-Healthcare.gov

-IRS Scandal

-NSA

-Operation Fast and Furious

-VA Scandal

-Bergdahl

Bush:

-9/11

-Iraq and "Weapons of Mass Destruction"

-UN Security Council on Iraq and it's illegality

-Very Suspicious background and friends

-Hurricane Katrina

-Patriot Act to an extent

I think Bush was way worse.

Most people only hate Obama because they're bandwagoners. He's not my favorite president, but i sure as hell don't think he's worse than Bush.

How is this even a question? No one will ever be on W's level. Sure, Obama gets flak, but it's all rather normal in comparison to every other president. I guarantee when people look back on Obama's presidency in the history books, or hell, even in the years that follow it, he won't be remembered as one of the worst presidents of all time. He will just look extremely average compared to every other president. Bush however, will always be remembered as the worst president (or one of 'em. God forbid a future president actually beats him out in awfulness) and deservedly so.

@jaken7: Obama definitely won't be remembered as an "average" president. Between national healthcare, budget concerns, energy, and education, all done in one of the most polarized political climates in history, he's going to down in history as something.

@force_echo: ...thanks for proving my point?

That all sounds like the most average bullet point list ever. Completely run of the mill with every modern presidency.

@jaken7: Lol, really? I must have forgotten about all of the comprehensive national health care plans America had before this! Wow!I guess when Bill Clinton called Obamacare the most influential democratic decision in the modern era, one that even he (widely known as one of the most effective democratic presidents in history) couldn't pass, he didn't know what he was talking about. I must have forgotten how every president leads controversial decisions involving hundreds of billions of dollars in stimulus packages in the midst of the second biggest financial downturn in history! How every president handles offensives and withdrawals in the most divisive and expensive wars since Vietnam? Yep, Obama's presidency was pretty run of the mill all right.

Lol, you can argue whether or not Obama made the right decisions, but saying he was an "average" president is like calling FDR's presidency uneventful. Except even worse since FDR didn't have to do all the crap he did with Congress as divided as it is today.

@force_echo: ...c'mon.

"Healthcare," "education, "budget." Like how is that not typical? That's presidency 101. Every president deals with that stuff.

Nothing you said came off as anything but average.

@saren: Fine. I'll make a more specific response.

"Yes I suppose you have forgotten, as Obama's not the first president to try and enact health care reform.

Yes, I suppose you have forgotten, as every president makes controversial decisions involving money. That's their job. There isn't a single decision they make that will be met with 100% acceptance. Saying it was billions of dollars doesn't mean much, as that's a pretty typical amount the government throws around these days.

The Vietnam War was the previous war. Everything in between Vietnam and this war were just catalysts for the current war anyways (or were small, quickly resolved conflicts). So of course this war (that Obama didn't even initiate) would be the most "expensive and divisive war since Vietnam."

So yeah. He had a typical presidency. My point stands. Saren, it isn't like he typed up a big wall of text and I just picked a couple words out of it. I didn't need a big dumb drawn out explanation to get my point across. But, whatever.

OBAMA of course. Bush almost single handily destroyed The United States lol. Obama had to have Osama killed even though it was Bush's problem at the time. Cartoons always clown about Bush as president, that's how you know how bad he was.

Depends on your views on economy in most part. Things were a lot better when Bush was in, price-wise, so if you believe that was his doing, Bush was better. If you blame Bush for things sucking the NEXT eight years, well, even then Obama hasn't fixed it he's mostly just made it worse. So while the answer is obviously neither, I'll say I prefer Bush. What you saw was what you got with him, Obi seems a lot slimier.

@jaken7: Again, you're just plucking out keywords without bothering with the implications. Those are issues that every President has to face, sure, but what's important is how those issues are handled, not the fact that they're handled in some form or another. No previous piece of healthcare legislation tried to fine citizens who didn't want to be covered or persuade insurance companies to just ignore pre-existing conditions. Presidents make controversial decisions regarding the economy, but in the end, results matter. Clinton had some controversial policies, but all was forgiven because the economy flourished when he was in charge. Bush was not great with the economy, but Obama actually managed to be worse; there was a Forbes article that came out last year that used numbers from the Obama administration's sources to point out that even taking into consideration the weak economic foundation Obama was handed in 2008, his handling of the economy still managed to be worse than Bush's. I have no idea what that thing about the war means. Are you trying to say Vietnam was the last significant war?

Obama's not a really bad President the way, say, Herbert Hoover was a bad President, but he's pretty terrible on a lot of stuff and it could easily be argued that Bush was a better President.

Putting Obama and Bush in the same breath shows you know little of history.

Bush broke the world and is the reason China is surpassing us in 2018 instead of the 2025 prediction.

@saren: I think it's just been awhile since Bush was in office. The details of his terribad policies are fading into memory, as are the specific problems our country had been facing during his reign as King Idiot. Obama is still in office, and every single breath he takes is still being dissected and analyzed.

Sticking with my precedent of "plucking" from previous posts, you think it's a BAD thing that the privatized insurance industry is now forced to not discriminate against those with pre-existing conditions? Seriously!? O_o
