 If capitalism works then why are we in such a poor economical situation? and for your information this Nation was not founded on capitalism, it was founded on democracy. We did not become a capitalist nation until the Regan administration. Regan was a puppet for the top 1%, the banks. They used him to put forth their plans for capitalism so they could take you money, and force you to put mortgages on your homes. They wanted to put us in debt to them to fill their pockets. And that's what they did, it's because of capitalist greed and the uncaring for any than your own self that we are in such a poor place in economics these days. Capitalism-noun-An economic and political system in which a countries trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit. Thats the dictionary definition of Capitalism and exactly what every American corporation that has ever existed goes by
