Star Wars The Old Republic: Annihilation
What's yours?
@god_spawn I meant to put this in off-topic, can you move it please?
The Belgariad (5 book series by David Eddings) Made into a movie trilogy.
The Malloreon (5 book sequel to The Belgariad) Made into another movie trilogy.
Belgarath the Sorcerer (prequel)
Polgara the Sorceress (prequel)
World War Z
I was going to say the same thing.

Er, wouldn't that be adapting a movie to a novel?

World War Z was a novel before it was a movie
Horus Heresy, get Dan Abnett to write it

Didn't know that.. cool.

Way better than the movie.
@i_like_swords: The movie WWZ has nothing to do with the book. Just the same name

I might check it out instead of watching the movie. Novels are normally better than their adaptations.

Gotcha
Is that HBO American Gods series no longer happening? If not maybe give that the movie treatment. Dean Koontz Frankenstein may make for a cool movie.
@i_like_swords: The movie's good, it just doesn't have much to do with the novel.
The Lost World.
That crap that came out a long time ago was NOTHING like the sequel to the Jurassic Park novel.
After the horrible adaptations of Percy Jackson, WWZ, and the last apprentice I'm very iffy with these novel turned movies.
But sometimes it's done right. And if I'd have to choose A Squires Tale. I absolutely loved that book series.
Jackdaws by Ken Follet is one of my favourite novels and a fantastic World War 2 thriller. I would love to see this brought to the big screen or even as an independent film.
Brave New World. It'd be tricky to adapt but if someone did it right it'd be an excellent film. I feel the book has more of a punch now then it did way back when it was written.
The Dark Tower series.
As well as "Darkness, Take my hand"
@fuchsia_nightingale: Artemis Fowl is already going to be a movie, I heard it's going to take place in Boston instead of Ireland.
The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel.(The entire series)
Percy Jackson and the Olympians.(Series) - No, I'm not counting that horrible movie as one. Needs to be made better.
The Inheritance Cycle(Eragon Series) - No, the movie doesn't count, it was horrific.
Grey Griffins series.
This is assuming they would all be made correctly..
I'd like to see the Neuromancer movie finally get made, just keep William Gibson as far away from writing the script as possible.
Well, not sure if this one counts (because there have been other books in the series adapted fro TV) But I'd love to see a live action Guards, Guards! or Men at Arms (Carrot and Vimes are my favourite DW characters) from the Discworld series. Sky has been doing a decent job, I particularly enjoyed Going Postal even if it did veer from the book many times.
If the tone can be followed, I'd like to see a series of movies based off of Joe Abercrombie's First Law trilogy. But, I don't think the general audience could accept a main character who is a pessimistic snarky torturer.
