"There's a fine line between the method actor and the schizophrenic"
Nic Cage was born in Long Island, California in 1964 and is the son of August Coppola and Joy Vogelsang. Nobody would realise that little Nicolas would grow up to become one of the greatest actors in the world. It was at the age of fifteen that he would become intrigued in the art and made his TV debut in 1981. He changed his last name from Coppola to Cage in order to prevent being confused with his famous uncle, Francis Coppola, in apparent homage to the superhero Luke Cage.
Throughout the years Nic has been involved in both mainstream and more independent films, proving his great versatility. His first film was Fast Times at Ridgemont High and, since then, has stared in classics such as Raising Arizona, Vampire's Kiss, Con Air and The Wicker Man. Truly, Nicolas Cage is one of the greats.
