What do you want to see them do next? I think that the next logical step (IMO) would be music. A site with lyrics and info on all the artists and such and possibly even downloads. What do you guys want next?

The only Whiskey Media site I'm part of is Comicvine (don't tell the staff). So, it probably won't matter to me.

music, agreed. I was thinking the same thing awhile back.
you can't go wrong with that as far as bringing people in,
and trying to wrangle those same people into other WM
sites and subjects.

They only have a few more ways they can go:

  • sports
  • music
  • books
  • internet stuff (flash games, Web comics, other websites)
  • thats pretty much it

I stand by this statement, although there'd still be room for others to help as there's a lot of webcomics.

Either Music or Sports.

I'd like to see Music, Books or Sports.
I really wished the Movie and TV one were separate, but what to do.

I don't really understand why Comic Vine doesn't have a small section for webcomics. They are comic strips still, even if they are not published in paper. And with the increasing popularity and expansion of digital comics, the lines that separate them are becoming very blurry.

They do have webcomic pages, but only webcomics that have been printed and sold. (Like Dr.McNinja or Sam and Fuzzy)

@Albert Ventum: actually, no, They had one called PoliticalBase.com...but that site shut down, after the 2008 elections...So yeah...I'd love to have a place to discuss important topics...I'd definatley want to become a staff member.

Also on the note of a music site...As much as i LOVE music, I think that it would not work.. I mean what could you do other than discuss music and or musicians...Also, getting interviews with top musicians would be very very very hard, not to mention you'd have to pay them, and not to mention all the money being spent on downloading cd's, buying tickets to concerts, etc...
#37 Posted by Albert Ventum (418 posts) - - Show Bio
@King Cobalt: The problem is that on the internet things involving politics tend to get very heated, even more so than in real life.
#38 Posted by King Cobalt (291 posts) - - Show Bio
@Albert Ventum: That's what moderators are for...And I'd be very fair in letting people say what they wanted, but I would also not allow them to start flame wars and low blowing. I'm very fair in that way...Although I am a progressive liberal... XD

It'd be nice if it worked but I've honestly never seen a site that made it work(without completely banning one group from posting).

@Albert Ventum: I can honestly say that on Political base, while it could get very heated, people usually stayed within boundaries of good will and intent with their words. I wish the site was still active though.

Well if they make it, I'll be sure to meet you there. You seem like a fair debater and it'd be fun to go up against you in a political debate.

Oohhhhh...There is actually a thread that I made, "The Official POLITICS thread" it got some use, but everyone desides to just make random threads instead of using the actual thread...We can debate now if you want??? Using that thread of course...Xd

@Albert Ventum: Why Americans don't realize that if this November, the Republican party gets a majority in the Senate/House, that this country would be in dead lock for progress on bills. And now, Republicans are the master spin artists...

@Albert Ventum: How they use deceit and fear to spin stories, and or accomplishments to either make themselves look better, or make the administration look bad.
