I know. I just wouldn't mind seeing Luuke retconned out. I love the Thrawn Trilogy, but that's just one big stain on an otherwise great story. It was just plain dumb.
I really wish people would stop using the word confirmed.
Nothing is confirmed until the studio announces it.
Variety is a pretty legit source, but still. Movie rumors are out of control these days and wrong information gets spread way too quickly. Hell, even studios have gone back on their word at times - you could argue nothing is confirmed until you see it on the screen.
I remember when BleedingCool was announcing Darth Vader was going to be on Ep VII, though it was just a rumor they decided to pass off as confirmed news. And that was when I lost all respect with that site.

Its pretty crazy how many people will lose their shit over rumors by no-body sites lol.
Again. Variety is generally very good, but still. People need to calm down sometimes.
Granted, I think the site staff is very good about not jumping the gun with main page announcements and its mostly just the user base that posts every rumor.,
