I recently saw a thread that made me think: how difficult is it for a newer user to gain friends (or acquaintances, depends how seriously you take it) on Comic Vine? Then I had another thought (normally I'd have given up on the first): it can be pretty tricky. How do we solve this problem? Well, my idea was to create a group of users who are a little "younger" on the site or have less of a reputation as others which would allow you to build up a selection of people who you do know. The details are a bit sketchy but, if the idea becomes popular, we can work that out later. So, what do you think? Is it worth a shot or not?
New "Clan" Idea (newer/less-known users wanted)
Noobs united?
United Noobs, that way we can call them the UN.

United Noobs sounds better too.
The last time there was a major clan on CV, this site nearly imploded. War threads everywhere, mods couldn't control anything, the inmates were taking over. Then they just said F IT! and banned the entire clan.
Your best bet of making friends is by trying to join the RLR or COA, the two top factions on CV.

RLR ?
COA ?

RLR.
COA.
#RLR for life. We freaking need a battle cry I'm over the hashtag.
RLR RELOAD.

RLR RELOAD.
I approve.
Wasn't aware RLR and COA were considered factions. Like it's some dynasty sh*t.
I'll never understand the internet I guess.

Those where the days. ;p
We have done really stupid things but there are no regrets.
Sounds cool.
How about everyone just be polite, get along, and not be exclusive? (Just joking, that will never happen. United Noobs gets my vote).
I was thinking more of something like "The Underdogs " but United Noobs is actually kind of catchy...

Just like Secret Wars, these two fractions are battling off world.
@thedandyman: D.U.F.
@humanrocket: I'm in one and I didn't know about it being considered a "faction" haha.
@granitesoldier: I'm in the other one so...
@dboyrules2011: D.U.F? As in "Designated Ugly Friend"?
@dboyrules2011: D.U.F? As in "Designated Ugly Friend"?
......no. "Demons Unite Forever."
@dboyrules2011: Ah, seems reasonable.
If this does go ahead (which I'm thinking it's got a fair chance of doing but some more comments from the "target market" would be helpful) then the group as a whole will vote on their preferred name.
Radical, best of luck to all of you.
Mass PM's are a great way to meet some new friends, make some rivals, or realize that you're anti social!
You build up your rep in CV....just post a lot and be yourself.

This.
OK, it seems the idea's got some positive reviews so if you're wanting to join then PM me and we can work something out.

It was very House of M in nature.
...and then went the g****s themselves shortly after.
So on that happy note, good luck to the new kids on the block!
I don’t see why we should depend on a gang on one of the internet's most sensible websites. But as a noob, you have my support I guess.
yay now i don't have to be all alone in the black of cyberspace forever like i thought i was going to be
