take the time to research this, it's for your own good to educate yourself
I actually went and read up on this bill. No, it does not authorize the US military to shoot the Occupy protestors, its just another feel-good anti-terror measure. I doubt its even enforceable on anything other than your run-of-mill terror plots. As much as you people like to think that there's some evil V For Vendetta style fascist plot to enslave the US. It pays to actually know what the hell you're talking about before posting crap like this on a board dedicated to comic discussion. Maybe you'll remember this when you log in from the internet at the FEMA camp
I am not sure about assassination but indefinite detention of US citizens is pretty scary. Welcome to the USSA.

False, there is a section right under the section of detaining which clearly states that US citizens and lawful resident aliens are exempt from being detained. Where people got that idea is due to misreading the bill.
Wow Someone else posted about this same bill awhile ago. Even had a video of it from a different source I think and got a completely different reaction.
Is it because this time the video is from FOX? Is it being blown off without being considered or already predispose to disagree with anything FOX says?
I'm not defending the opinion on this bill or FOX new. I'm just wondering objectively.

@Kubashi: All they would have to do is label you a terrorist.
They can't if the bill exempts you from being detained.....also the military needs evidence or very strong indication that you are connected to Al-Qaeda. The military won't randomly detain anyone without proper evidence or investigation since it would put unnecessary pressure on them even though this bill is already doing that...
Read the section of the bill concerning that.
What this is is a reaction to claims that there isn't a formalized legal system for dealing with terror suspects. This is significantly better than being whisked away to some black site in Guantanamo. As for martial law. Last time I went outside, I wasn't seeing tanks and soldiers roaming the streets like it was Tianamen square. This exaggeration is getting a little out of hand and its only going to harm any movement for serious reform in this country.
