Kurenai, I love that she uses mostly genjutsu.

Kurenai. I like here team more and always considered her to be an underused character.

I honestly cant chose, so I will pass this one.

Naruto is FULL of underused characters, it's my main complaint with the series. Part One wasn't so bad, at least they focused on other genin, but Shippuden..UGH, if you aren't an Uchiha or a Jinchuriki, then you get no screen time.

These are two of my favorite characters in the series. Kurenai has been completely forgotten about, which I guess makes sense though since she's raising a kid now. But I'm going with Asuma, he was SO AWESOME, and I actually cried a bit when he died.

Yeah but Kurenai is super underused, even by action anime standards. She fights Itachi once, gets pregnant during shippuden and is never seen again. She might as well be dead since even her students rarely mention her name.

I wouldn't even call that a ''fight'' with Itachi, he pretty much pwns her with better genjutsu :P

She had an arc dedicated to her during those 100 episodes filler hell at the end of part 1, but that's about it, nothing canon.

The only side character I might actually cry for is the one who is currently about to die. Read the manga if you want to know who I'm talking about.

I read the manga weekly and that is something I have been trying to not think about. Characters are somewhat j being killed off left and right at this point which makes me wonder if Obito is going to use the same jutsu Nagato used before he died to revive everyone.

I hope not. This is a war, some of the good guys need to die too. I hate when anime tease these deadly villains who never seem to kill anyone important to the story. Reminds me of every Bleach arc prior to the return of the Quincies.

From what I've read Masashi Kishimoto hates sad endings so I wouldn't rule out a revival of at least certain characters. I don't expect Asuma to come back but I expect Neji and Guy to be revived by the end of the arc, especially since Shikamaru died and was revived like the next week.

It was during this arc, but I don't exactly remember when. I'm going to look for it though. He died or was dying and they made a whole big thing about it for an entire chapter and then at the end of it Naruto was like "lol gonna inject kyuubi chakra into you" and then Shikamaru wakes up and gets upset because he was going to have an epic ending but it was ruined.

bee is much better, he actually is my fav character in the whole series.

Kisame by a whole lot. Bee's rap takes away the seriousness in most awesome moments.

More for the unfair treatment he got battle-wise. Twice he was matched with an opponent who absolutely contradicted his fighting style, and once he was only supposed to infiltrate. Poor guy didn't even get edo tensei :(
