Not that anyone care's but I figured I'd share this with you guys and this make a thread about the writer Ryohgo Narita is my one of my favorite writers he is known for his light novel works

Baccano!

Durarara!!

Vamp!

Etsusa Bridge

Both Baccano! and Durarara!! have anime to there name

All 4 series are part of the same universe and are filled with badass characters I will try to cover all 4 series without spoils

All 4 of these are set in the same world but in different times and areas

BACCANO!

is a Japanese light novel series written by Ryohgo Narita and illustrated by Katsumi Enami. The series, often told from multiple points of view, is mostly set within a fictional United States during various time periods, most notably the Prohibition era. It focuses on various people, including alchemists, thieves, thugs, Mafiosiand Camorristi, who are unconnected to one another. After an immortality elixir is recreated in 1930 Manhattan, the characters begin to cross paths, setting off events that spiral further and further out of control.

All The Baccano episodes can be watched once you click on the link (I would say watch the Dub its adds to tone)

http://www.youtube.com/show?p=hyQAXPO7-ho&tracker=show_av

Baccano! Light Novels can be read here

DURARARA!!

often romanized as DRRR!! in Japan, is a Japanese light novel series written by Ryohgo Narita, with illustrations by Suzuhito Yasuda, that has also been adapted in to a Japanese anime series. As of February 2012, ten volumes have been published by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki Bunkoimprint. A manga adaptation by Akiyo Satorigi started serialization in the shōnenmanga magazineMonthly GFantasy on April 18, 2009. An anime adaptation began airing in Japan in January 2010. Durarara!! tells the story of a dullahan working as an underworld courier in Ikebukuro, an internet-based anonymous gang called The Dollars, and the chaos that unfolds around the most dangerous people in Ikebukuro.

Durarara!! (Anime just type it in and it will come up I would say sub is better for this but its your choice)

DURARARA!! Novels can be read here

http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index.php?title=Durarara!!

VAMP!

Gerhard Von Balstein is a vampire, entrusted with the Island of Growerth and bestowed with the title of viscount in this comedic dark fantasy about vampires clans, a vampire princess and the man who hunts them!

Sorry Vamp is very hard to find translated into english I will post it as soon as I find it

ETSUSA BRIDGE

Set on a giant, almost finished bridge between Sadogashima and Niigata. Abandoned by the government, the bridge, and the giant man-made floating island at the center, has become a city of criminals and societal drop-outs. Set in the same world as Durarara, but 15-20 years later.

Same problem as Vamp! I will post as soon as I find translations

CROSSOVERS

Durarara!! and Vamp! have a crossover (I never read it I will post as soon a I find translations)

OTHER

So what do you guys think if interested get watching and reading

Yeah plenty of them

I'll tell you about them if you like? It wouldn't spoil anything for any of the series.

Baccano and Vamp are better to me.

But Durarara far from sucked. It ended at a bad time to. If it would of got where the novels were it would been amazing

Besides Izaya is one of the best villains in the verse.....expert troller. Plus Shizuo is an awesome character.

Mikado is one twisted person.

All the intertwining plot lines, gang wars and supernatural business going in the city is pretty interesting.

Each of the series has a lot of supernatural stuff.

Baccano! Has immortals, super powered humans, some immortal wish granting being and homonculi

Durarara!! Has a headless rider and demonic talking sword

Vamp! Obviously has vampires, werewolves, demons and all that stuff.....

(With the exception of Etsusa Bridge........maybe because that's the only one I've ever read)

As for shonen fights. They have fights but they aren't super long like in shonen. But they are good and brutal. Plus the plots are more complex then most shonens as they focus on the characters and story line as opposed to just fighting.

Please note I said most shonen. Not all.

I had no clue that they were in the same continuity. I've seen none of them except for a bit of DRRR and having its ending(Trust Me) on my phone.

They are all really good.

Well I can't say that for Etsusa Bride because I haven't read it.

They are light novel series actually with anime.

Oh and if you watch the Baccano! Anime you will be confused. Its like Pulp Fiction non linear but even more so. But it all makes sense in the end.

@slacker_the_hacker: Like pulp fiction? Oh god........

Well not literally.

I was using it as an example. You know? Non linear story telling.

@slacker_the_hacker: Not to me, the characters were extremely boring and I just couldn't get invested in the plot at all. But if you liked it that's cool, each their own and all that.

Durarara actually gets better when reading it.

Due to the fact Vorona shows up, Mikado's true colors are shown (he's as twisted as Izaya.....almost as bad as Baccano character) and just a lot of other cool stuff. Like the reveal of who the true big bad is........its quite odd.

As for Baccano! It really is the best in the verse to me anyway. Though Vamp might overtake it.

@slacker_the_hacker: It does sound pretty interesting from that little description you gave us. What time period does it take place in, is like modern day or in the past?

2003 but a lot of the characters are obviously really old.

Its actually has a direct crossover with Durarara!! Which has not been translated

But the main series from what I've been reading so far is better then Durarara!! It feels more like Baccano! But its also very different. Its known by fans in Japan as Narita's playground.

Oh and remember this! Watt Stalf is the motherfragging man!
