Using OP's logic, there is a lot of things in the movieverse that could inspire a someone else to study something.

A friend of mine liked Ironman's movie and he studied something related to that just because his fascination to the suit and Tony Stark himself.

@Static Shock: Never was a big movie guy, but that movie... I haven't watched it in so long. Have to buy it, and frame it on my wall or something. It inspiring though, because its based on a true story.
