What she is saying is that the comic medium should be held in the same regard as your run of the mill novel, television and films. People like Alan Moore have done a lot to push the medium toward more compelling storytelling that makes it hard not to notice the quality of his stories in comics. That is part of the reason why he gets so pissed off when they turn his movies into film, because he feels it a step in the wrong direction. More than just that, he thinks it's missing the whole point of making great comics.
