Why BB > TDK? And why TASM > TDKR?

@comicdude23: If the list was based on well made movies, it would be entirely different. This is just my preference, though. For me, Batman Begins was stunning. For once, it was a comic book movie that had the superhero vibe but didn't ooze cheesiness. The tone was phenomenal and it was (at least IMHO) a brilliant reboot for the character. No drastic twists or turns along the way, but it kept my interest glued the whole time. It made Gotham feel real and I was hooked. I think TDK is a superior film with far more emotion, but I enjoy watching BB more.

I know I'm part of the minority with this one, but I really didn't enjoy TDKR all that much. I liked it - obviously otherwise it wouldn't be on this list - but feel like it fell short compared to Nolan's previous two efforts. I expected TASM to be incredibly bland and generic, and while it absolutely played it safe and took no risks, I still thought it was an incredibly entertaining film. The action was a blast, the chemistry was solid, and despite it being predictable across the board, it was still engaging and, more importantly, fun.

1. Avengers was good fun but nothing more.
2. Spider-Man 2 is much better. It had better character development, story and acting. It took it to the next level.
3. Batman Begins re-defined Super-Hero movies. It's much better than Iron Man, First Avenger and Spider-Man IMO because I like the dark tone it had, the plot was good and the acting was superb. It was a fun joy-ride and it got the horrible taste of Batman and Robin out of my mouth.
4. Batman Returns? Where they had an army of penguins? I like how Blade made the character mainstream and I liked the way they re-invented the character.

Not to mention the story was more straightforward in the movie and it didn't delve into a retcon clusterf**** that happened in the comics.

All I'm gonna say is there's a big difference in terms of quality between those two films. I'm glad you like it and you have every right to, but I don't think anyone can make a legitimate claim that Spawn is a "great" movie ;)

Actually I was.

Watchmen had regular people in costumes and its still a superhero movie. (minus Dr.Manhatten)

Blade 2 was the only superhero to ever scare me as a kid :3 lol

Blade: Trinity was awesome too in my opinion. I'm bias though because I want to marry Jessica Biel. Super underrated actress IMO.

@k4tzm4n: Blade 1 & 2 were better Trinity wasn't all I'm saying is there are a lot worse comic book movies like Ang Lee's Hulk, Superman IV, Superman Returns, Man-Thing and others. This film being out not a huge amount after Spawn was created and just as CGI was getting introduced was quite good. Plus besides Superman and Batman there weren't any real comic book films out before it that were as good. Thats my opinion anyway (just think people class it worse than it actually is)

@johnkmccubbin91: I'm not even taking the laughably bad CG into account when I think about Spawn. It was more-so the terrible acting and script that stands out to me. No need to defend why you like it, you're entitled to and I'm just giving you a hard time ;)
