My plan to propose to the girlfriend....

It's that time of the year.

Since I am stationed at Fort Hood, Texas and my wonderful girlfriend is at home waiting for me.

So I am deciding to propose and what better that use the way I know best

I am planning to mail that to her. With the ring taped where the Lantern ring is drawn. I am a horrible artiest, but she has no idea.

It's sentimental, personally, I'd rather be proposed to this way more than the traditional "we met in this spot" or a dinner.

I consider everything marriage to be very heavy FUBAR.

Although there is this girl, and probably a lot more in the future....I find it better to not get involved in other people's lives; moreover, if it is "till death do us part."

However, before you do it, does your girlfriend like superheroes? I only ask, because if I proposed to my very-non-comic-reading wife in this manner, she might have said no. Or at least questioned why I went that route after she said yes.

I'm personally a fan of making huge moves like this in person, but given your circumstances, I can understand. Maybe wrap the comic in brown paper with a note saying to Skype you before opening it? That way you could see her reaction in person. This is a moment the two of you should share, even if circumstances limit that to being over a web cam.

No matter what your final plans end up being for your proposal, I hope she says yes and that you return safely from your stint overseas.

On the topic at hand, I hope everything went well @Liko. not the way Id do it, but maybe that's because not mayn people i know are into comics, so if your significant other is into green lantern, then why not? love is love and if it's true, no one will care about how it was done, they will only care that it was done and it lasted
