For me it did. I never liked the old ones, or the series. I loved the most recent film.

@Supreme Marvel: Meh, to each their own. I loved the old shows. Anything more recent than DS9 is dead to me honestly.

@The_Roman: I understand. If there were films I enjoyed and a remake was made that didn't have the something about it that made the old ones great, I'd be disappointed to.

Pretty much. Just you wait and you see the remake having a happy ending :P

I also heard they are contemplating another Animal Farm remake this time directed by Andy Serkis.

@CaioTrubat: But-but--........Oh, just shoot me. In the face. Multiple times.

Anyway, Andy Serkis is a good actor. I have no opinion about his director skills, since he's never directed nothin before. But he's gonna open his career on Animal Farm? That's a f***ing huge gamble.

Highway to Hell! This movie is perfection. Ben Stillers greatest movie ever and he was barely even in it... or because he was barely even in it. Cult Classic!

Star Wars. The people that think it does are crazy. Remake the second and third one, and get better actors.

It's a scary time for us, even when there's a good horror film, it never gets a sequel to mold us a slasher icon. I can't name one that has the potential, but there's a few I bet, but they just never had the opportunity to stood out and shine.

I know. We need a film that scares people in a new way, that is not familiar territory but it also needs to be mainstream to have an impact.

Do you think we should move on from the slasher icon formula, the ones that has the same slasher consistently appearing, generating more sequels?

Yeah I do, maybe they could do something with the slasher formula but add something new.The more slasher films that came along the worse they got.

SAW and its sequels is a good example of what could happen...

Yes, I agree, they need to look into the formula, I want it to stay. This genre sometimes is treated horribly wrong, still.

Yeah and I mean fear is our strongest emotion, you would think they could up with something new more often.

I'm of the opinion that any movie that was received positively (or that became a cult classic) doesn't need a remake.

It's movies that obviously had potential, but which were handled poorly, that should be redone.
