Most powerful weapons/objects of classic myth

Keep in mind to mention classicly mythical weapons such as Thor's equipment, or Excalibur.

Please don't use comic based items in the thread. (i.e Infinity Gauntlet,Nullifier,etc..)

The Box itself invokes Power though... Yahweh would strike you down if you touched it and were not anointed to do so. It was considered a Sacred and Holy Thing...

Even then only the highest of Priests had to under go numerous ceremonies and rituals to cleanse themselves enough to see the Ark.

They covered it with several layers of holy cloth just to keep everyone safe from its presence.

@deadcool: You don't really know that about the Ark though(it having no power of its own). I am pretty sure its mentioned that the Israelites carried the Ark into battle in the book of Joshua and it would smite their foes or something. I will actually try to look those verses up but my point is its quite possible it was an actual weapon given to them.

I read that in Eastern Orthodox Christianity, the sword disappeared after Jesus was crucified and resurrected. Seems like everyone was condemned to Hell prior to that.
