SO I guess this thread is asking "Of all fiction you've observed, which works seemed to hate women the most? which works seemed to hate men the most?"
Most mysoginistic and mysandric works of fiction?
Mysoginistic ones are pretty much most comics, since the female characters wear humiliatingly revealing clothing.

And that's the big two.
Let's not even get started on the T&A sub-genre.

how is that anti-woman?
plenty of women do that on their own
and male superheroes dress like this

what is Fury?
@xwraith: Frank miller was incapable of writing female characters that weren't whores. (Except for underage ones of course)
I always felt that The Outsiders was EXTREMELY sexist, but not mysoginist.
the book about '50's gangs?
or the series from DC?
what are you talking about there?

Difference between a male power fantasy and dressing up female characters revealingly, bro.

but a lot of the more revealed \female characters are exercises in power fantasy

Cherry is basically portrayed in an EXTREMELY stereotypical way. They need men in order to survive, they are overly emotional over small things, they hate fights and love all things bright and colorful. It's like it was written by a 7 year old. It really disgusted me when I read it back in 7th grade and it disgusts me to this day.
Lol no one mentioned The Boys
I'd say Boys is more misanthropic than misogynistic or misandric, honestly.

if it's any consolation, the novel was written by a lady http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S._E._Hinton
@veshark: If i had the image, I'd post the Homelander image "Suck it!"

Yeah, I know. Heard she got an F in English class as a student. I can see why, The Outsiders is a terrible piece of fiction.

You'd probably get banned xD
I mean gotta give credit where it's due, Ennis did some really great characterization and world development in that book......but Sweet Christmas, some of the stuff in that title was vomit-inducing.
@veshark: i even made a complete thread about it back when it was fresh xD (check homelander forums)
@veshark: HEY!
you never responded to the OP!

SNAP!
@warlock360 Haha found it.
@betatesthighlander1 Um can't really think of one.....well, the Lee-Kirby run on Fantastic Four was kinda misogynistic-ish for Sue, since she rarely did anything useful and mostly 'acted like a woman'. I remember an issue of the Avengers too, where Wasp just left a battle with Namor midway to go 'powder her nose'.

that second one sounds more like a parody
any works you can think of that seem to hate men?

yes
yes I do
@consolemaster001: Bias! Men are forced to wear tight spandex that reveals their booties. Also, none get more revealing than Namor.

Nope, it was a legit Avengers issue.
Hmm...honestly, not really.

Yeah, Avengers #4. I can get a picture if you want.
There's quite a bit of stuff like that in the early issues.

@betatesthighlander1: Here it is:
The thing about old comics like this is that while they do make women look a little silly, I don't think it's much worse than most other media of the time. Plus, Wasp is shown being pretty useful in dealing with situations, so it could have been worse. I don't feel as annoyed by this as I would if it happened in a modern comic.

re-reading the issue, I'm not entirely sure she wasn't joking
@betatesthighlander1: Hard to tell for sure. A lot of things could potentially be jokes I suppose. I think talking about finding Thor attractive was later explained to be her just trying to get a reaction out of Hank, so it's possible that she could be saying things ironically.

yes, yes
clever girl
The most mysogynistic (or misandronist) work ever is obviously pornography. Other than that, I actually can't really think of anything that counts as mysogonistic, though some things are sexist.
huh?
Chick in fridge
are you referring to that one issue of Green Lantern?
Anything by Frank Miller that's not called Year One or The Dark Knight Returns.
Year one portrayed Catwoman as a prostitute, so you can count that one out

she wasn't a prostitute, she was a dominatrix
Misogynistic: Gor
Misandric: Fury
is gor a comic or a novel?
same question for fury
Misogynistic: Gor, most Ancient mythologies
Misandric: Anything my friend Lisa says when she's drunk, most things I say when I'm pissed off at my brothers or dad.
