Not knowing how to first use a machine properly so you fumble with it awkwardly. Then coming in later once knowing how to use that machine only to have to wait for it 'cause somebody else is using it.

And back sweat residue.

  1. People thinking smaller people can't give advice. Regardless of size, if someone actually knows what they are doing, good advice is good advice.
  2. When all the benches are taken up.
  3. When I forget my Zune.
  4. Not enough weight for me to move due to other people using the plates.
  5. Getting eyed at like a prime butt steak just waiting for a dry rub.
  6. That one guy that doesn't stop grunting after stacking a huge amount of weight then just leaves.
  7. People bending their knees to 160 degrees and calling it a squat.

My hardest thing is actually not workout related. It is that the gym is supposedly a great place to meet girls, but it is not easy to talk to them there. Its not like I can put down what I am lifting and run after them. This seems creepy at the very least. I guess gyms with juice bars would fix this problem.

@InnerSuperman: I'm not defensive and you can make all the assumptions you want about me, it doesn't really matter since you have nothing to back it up. But this isn't about me. My point it is ignorant to think you have to be huge to give advice. There are lifters and fitness enthusiasts like Lui Marco, Scott Herman, Yuri Elkaim that aren't huge and Lui is a body builder. Go look up Claudio Castagnoli. That guy isn't even that big and he's spun circles with 300+ pound men guys on his shoulders without the use of his hands. And there are strength training programs that focus mostly on strength over size depending on the weight, set, and rep range as well. And if I have seen a guy that couldn't use his legs become a damn good strength coach and personal trainer, I'd definitely say throws a monkey wrench in your plan. Cause being this apparent massive guy and fitness guru yourself, you know working legs helps your overall lifts get stronger, right?

Cardio is the most important workout in my opinion. And you don't need a gym to strengthen it.

Just run.

  1. All the people looking at my guns. Guns don't kill people, but my guns make people (mostly straight woman and gay guys, but many lesbians and straight guys too) faint! Which can be as deadly depending on where they faint.
  2. All the people who act annoyed when I give them extremely helpful fitness and general lifestyle advice. Geez talk about not appreciating the fact I talk to them let alone give up my time and my expertise to show them how to better their pathetic existence's. Plus sometimes its just faster to grab peoples body parts and move them into position on machines forcibly against their will so they understand they were doing it wrong and how they should do it properly.
  3. All the sexual harassment lawsuits and restraining orders.
  4. All that fruity pop techno dubstep crap they play on the loud speakers. I only like to tame my pythons to Scottish Interpretative Instrumental Bagpipes Death Metal.
  5. Dress codes. I like to work out as nature intended. Naturally. With artificial weights and machines.
  6. People (mostly straight woman and gay guys, but many lesbians and straight guys too) wanting to touch me inappropriately and slapping my various chiseled to perfection body parts. I am like a Greek stature of a Greek god, wait two Greek gods rolled up and mashed together poured into one Greek stature made of marble and tan spray. I am art, you wouldn't slap the stature of David on the butt would you? STOP OBJECTIFYING ME!

I think people who grunt like animals are hilarious so I dislike that because i'm too immature not to laugh (especially if it's really loud and excessive). It gets really bad when there are multiple people grunting at the same time.

I also hate that brain dead state of mind you go into when you're doing an extreme workout of some kind. I don't know why I just hate it.

I.My only big problem that is annoying is people hogging the machines. I want to use a bench, and a guy says he's using it.... while sitting on another different bench/machine. Guys using 3+ set of dumb bells at a time. SHARING is Caring. I pay monthly too. Honestly it is annoying to not be able to work out without an interruption, "how many more sets do you need" and I finish to give them the dumb bells only to see they have 4 other pairs already at their disposal.

II. People leaving free weights, and dumb bells on the floor next to them, but they are done using them. I can't read minds, so it be nice if you put them where they belong.

III.

People who sit on the machine you want to use and text.

IV. Every Big Guy given me contradictory advice from the last Big Guy's advice.

EG: "You should do sets of 15 reps."

next guy

"You shouldn't do more than 12 reps, after that many you need to add more weight."

"If your not trying to get bigger you should do 20 to 40 reps with very light weights."

But mostly people telling me to lift a certain way then another guy telling me to lift another certain way. Why is there so many different ways to lift?

V. People in general with superiority complexes.

Not for me. I can't enter that state of mind without getting anxious. I have to listen to music in order to work out like that.
