A moon is not a planet, even Earth's Moon. According to Wikipedia the definition for a moon is "a natural satellite of a planet or other celestial body."

I hate how they call pants, pants as well. I mean why? Its not a planet, and yet Solomon Grundy wants pants too, just because we call it that and think we can live on it.  
 
Actually you bring up a great point, since there are lots of things I don't think are named right.  
 
Golf? Why? Moon Boots? No deal. Fraction? Is not a fraction!
