Mexican Food vs Italian Food

Italian food, not a question for me.

Italian food wrecks all foods on the planet: Pizza, Spaghetti, Pasta...I can keep going, but the only thing that comes close to those three is hamburgers.

Pizza solos.

Most chocolate you eat is technically West African food given that Ghana and the Ivory Coast supply cocoa to most of the world's big chocolatiers.

@saren: Oh nononono. What I mean is that Mexico is the reason for the existence of chocolate. As it dates back to the Aztec time period where the Aztecs had introduced the first generation of "chocolate." Then once the Spaniard came over to them, they brought back this first generation of chocolate and was added with sugar, which resulted in the creation of sweet chocolate. Now the Aztec's most common version of chocolate was a chocolate drink that was mixed in with peppers and other ingredients for a rather spicy/sour drink.

Then they also could turn the cacao into a butter form which peppers were mostly combined with the cacao butter to create this sour snack. However, IIRC, Aztecs had domesticated bees and harvested honey which could be mixed in with cacao butter to create a sweet chocolate similar to modern day chocolate. Also, cacao is not native to Africa though. It's native to Mexico and several South American countries. Cacao was brought into Africa.

vs Tacos, Burritos, and Enchiladas, its arguable. It definitely doesn't beat 'Merican food though Burgers, Hot Dogs, and Chicken (Fried and Fingers)

@hammer_of_j2: Correct. It was also made by Aztecs and other Nahua civilizations. Then there are still Nahua populations existing in Mexico and most Mexicans are of Nahua descent.

Oh damn I forgot Pizza could solo. I clicked Mexican, but then I saw all of the Pizza solos comments. Pizza is the greatest food ever and would whip the floor with all Mexican foods.

OMG, will I keep having to say this lol? Same can be said for Mexican food! You forgot that chocolate is from Mexican origin and the Mexican equivalent to pizza is quesadillas! BTW, pizza is actually not of Italian origin. IIRC, it's Greek origin and Italy's version of traditional pizza is different than you'd expect. Anyways, chocolate solos all Italian food! That's right! Chocolate is Mexican food/dessert!

@fitnesstribesman13: Chocolate cannot solo. If you eat only chocolate day in and day out you would get sick. Only type of foods that can solo are main dish type foods that can realistically replace your main diet. Ehh, at the majority of the Americanized Italian restaurants we got pizza so you would just be arguing semantics on the Greek point.

@lukehero: We are talking about the taste, not whether or not the food is good for you or not. Anyways, some people do have addictions to chocolate however or are used to consuming large amounts of chocolate without becoming ill. Still, you gotta admit, chocolate is really damn good. I sometimes can't even resist it's craving powers lol. Then the same can be said for pizza. As pizza is not healthy at all and consuming large amounts of pizza can also cause health illness. Plus like you said, the delicious pizza we all know is basically an American modified version of traditional pizza.

Just like how taco bell is Americanized versions of Mexican food. Even so, Mexico has still given us many delicious and popular meals such as tacos, nachos, burritos, enchiladas, etc.
