Nah, I don't agree there....if that's the case, should men be able to post pics of morning wood (clothed) or semen?? I don't see the comparison either. Any sh*t is just nasty to post. Pictures of blood in general vary according to levels of extremes -- nosebleeds are alright, but problems may arise if pics get too gory. However, period blood is just taboo. It's something that would make the vast majority of people uncomfortable to see in public, so it shouldn't be posted on public social media sites IMO.
