Neither is good for them muscle gains!
Post workout your body is depleted of glycogen (stored energy). Therefore eating simple carbs like fries, cookies, ice cream etc after your workout will just refuel the glycogen lost and help initiate muscle glycogen synthesis and help you recover faster. Of course there are healthier things you could eat, and you don't want to go overboard, but you can get gains from them :).

This is true, but I just personally like to get my post workout carbs from complex sources like whole wheat bread, potatoes, pasta, and such.

Burger King fries before the changed the recipe. But, I will vote for Jack In the Box curly fires as the current best for a fast food chain.

Also, I'm tired of people ripping on McDonald's. Yeah, it's bad for you, but we've all eaten there before.
Jim Gaffigan sums up my beliefs.
@wolverine08: Your post workout carbs should be quick digesting to give you that added insulin boost so your muscles absorb the protein faster. I usually had raisins or something else with my protein shake.
