But yeah, it would be a nice idea.... and if it were possible it would probably have been done by now. I cant see both franchises agreeing with the game. They would both want their mainstream characters involved - and if that was the case DC would kick ass and Marvel wouldnt be happy.

Maybe the MvC series has over saturated folks with Marvel characters at this point...or at least the popular ones.
DC still needs an epic fighter though (DCvsMK was decent at best...imo), but maybe if they just used DC characters, along with maybe some Darkhorse and Top cow if they could swing it? May narrow the knowledgeable fan base at the start, but if it is done well, I'm sure it could create fans as well.

Ono, Director of the SF series, said he wants to pursue a fighting game called MvDC. Yep, you heard it right. The only hindrances are he might think are the companies and legalities. I don't have the link for now, but I post it when I feel like it.
