Maybe it's not the same, but it's similar enough. I'm vegan and I've encountered many, many people who try to "convert" me into eating meat again. I always try to tell them that I'm not going to discuss my personal beliefs with anyone, and if I'm not as obnoxious as to try to "convert" them (something I always try to avoid), they should be at least as respectful to you as you are to them.
And if they still insist, just casually dismiss the topic. Ignore whatever has to do with religion and try to bring up another topic. They'll tire out, eventually.
go buy a shotgun and when they try talking to you ask them to hold on for a second. go grab your shotgun and ask them to continue talking. that'll work, if not then go buy a guard dog and have it sick them.
OK here is the ultimate solution. You invite them over to your place and set is up so when they get there there will be a headless goat and a pentagram on the floor draw in the goats blood. know you act like you didn't expect them so soon and when they ask whats going on you just say "Oh this...uh..its just um an art project"
@joshmightbe: You could just tell them you're not interested, but look at it from their perspective. They probably think if you don't convert you're going to hell, so if they keep trying to convert you, it means they really care about you.
