Man of steel discussion thread

Krypton's last son has a new movie out, what did you think about it? Was it awesome? Can you let go of the Christopher reeve movies and admit it was great? Did it have flaws (like of course most movies including the old superman movies)? Or was it truly trash?

i feel really strongly about this.

It was awesome! Itsy favorite movie! Is blows kick-ass, avengers, and batman begins out of the water.

It was pretty good, I had my gripes but they were minor overall.

Wouldn't recommend paying extra for 3D unless you like that "Atmospheric 3D" stuff.

10/10, best superhero movie ive ever seen. Seriously, the emotional content is extraordinarily strong, but the action is the absolute best ive ever seen. This is truly two demi-gods fighting, and it will truly be the mark for every superhero fight after this movie.

@innersuperman: I'm disappointed you didn't like it. I didn't find it at all generic, but I guess you would know better about Superman than I do.

I liked it, very much like the Avengers in terms of...action.

It was better than Avengers but not DK, Spiderman 2, X2, or Batman Begins good.

90 out of 100, Man of Steel was a Good Movie... but not the Best Superhero Film Ever. The action was spot on but it seem to lag a little bit in the movie... the final action scenes was great though. Was it better than The Avengers ? Heck No. Was it better than The Dark Knight ? Heck No. Was it better than The Dark Knight Rises ? Heck No. It was good... but I would not even say it was the best film of this year. Star Trek Into Darkness was Better IMO.

I aint going no where... I feel cheated by both the Fanboys who said "Man of Steel was The Greatest Film Ever" and the other critics who said "Man of Steel was completely Overrated" there was no consistency with anyone about the quality of the film at all. Truth be told it was a Good Film but that's it... not some groundbreaking high quality film which was head and shoulders above the other films of this year.

@king_saturn: the ground is broken, you know why? Cuz the superman broke it when he flew off (awesome special effects). Me myself thought it had cut scenes at inappropriate times but still had good casting and directing. Although I think I need some time cuz I nearly finished watching it an hour ago

It was good but nothing special. I wouldn't even hold it in the top ten of superhero movies. I understand why some people don't like it and it's warranted.

The pace, plot, and overall writing was lacking. The love story felt extremely rushed. I think Thor told a better love story and that kind of says everything. My fears of what Snyder would do to this movie pretty much came true. Like everything else he's done, it's a long pacing disaster with lots of unnecessary dialogue that doesn't end up getting the message across effectively. There were things I liked, but it's just so noticeably flawed as a film.

I don't know...I watched today but I don't like it.

Maybe I should watch one more time. I didn't like Dark Knight Rises when I watched first time but when I watched second time I liked it.
