Someone, anyone... violating you by force, in which you have no say, and no means to stop it, is the very definition of hell. We have to start with the painfully obvious, that rape is non-consensual... in other words, in no way is it desired in the vast majority of situations. Yes, "rape fantasy" is a thing, but it is fantasy... role play, in which there is still agreed upon rules and some control. What if a gang who happen to be women, pick you out on a subway, mess with you, hit you, and one has a knife at your throat, another waves a knife at everyone else, so they won't do anything to intercede. They strip you naked, mock you, violate you... then leave you bloodied naked and battered. How would this "feel"? Probably not at all like the fantasy some of us had in mind. As a male, I presume there is a pretty small chance of that happening, and yet in the scenario I laid out, I think it's far more plausible, and far less likely, you can do anything about it. I don't care what you bench or what martial art you study... if a half dozen street tough gang members with knives are confronting you, none of that will likely matter.

Rape isn't about sex its about someone taking away choice, forcing you to do something you don't want to, that's rape

So when people ask you if you would be ok being raped by a woman picture that

You can't like being raped, you can't consent to being raped, and you don't' get to choose who or how

You get no choice

otherwise it isn't really rape.

Excluding coercion/grooming then its a bit more complicated

It seems beyond the scope of imagination (funny considering this is a comic forum!), to envision being violated if it's by a woman. I can only assume that there is confusion between "rape" and "sex" being conflated in some peoples minds. Essentially the sticking point is that sex is so valued by some that it's hard to imagine any scenario where it might be viewed as a negative. Add the fact that most men are so beyond imagining a woman being powerful enough to do it, that they have a failure of imagination. To get across the idea that sex turned rape, is unwanted just use any scenario you like: A group of ugly women forcing themselves on you, and all have a venereal disease... does that sound kinda bad?

@runningbeard: well, rape isn't just being overpowered, it could be a result of being drugged. Imagine someone having thier way with you while being unconscious the whole time. That would be horrid.

Pretty much, in the case of a woman it would highly depend on the situation and what's involved.

A man being raped by a man, ever watched the Shield, probably has a good representation of how a man would react to that, emasculated, ashamed to tell anybody and wants to kill the guy.

I suppose when it comes to man and a woman being raped by a man they would normally feel like they lose something, as horrible as it is to say not knowing you where violated is a better than knowing as the damage is mental.
