Maine Voters Legalize Gay Marriage

I am very proud to say that in my home state of Maine, voters (myself included) have ruled in favor of marriage equality, becoming the first state in the union to legalize same-sex marriage through popular vote. It's been a long road, and I'm happy for this victory.

I look forward to attending the weddings of my gay friends in the future, they will be fabulous! Source

In other news, Tammy Baldwin has become the first openly gay U.S. senator thanks to her victory in Wisconsin. All in all, a great day for American progress.

Congratulations! Hopefully in the near future gay marriage will be nationwide.

Cheers!

Good for them. Now if only the rest of the country would follow suit.

I sometimes think Massachusetts should become its own country. So ahead of the rest of the States when it comes to common sense.
