Oh it's another Gundamcandy thread... Not expecting much longevity for this thread then.
All three are organised criminal groups and as such will viciously defend their "rights" & members.
Yakuza was born out of the broken Ninja clan remnants and Ronins; respectable (=honourable) people formed Zaibatzu's; after the turmoil of Sengogu Jidai- period and has very strict ethical codex which at least used to be adhered almost religiously... Today may be different.
Similarly Mafia used to be clan-family based which had its own codes of conduct and weird 'chivalry' but the huge amounts of money that drugs and other modern crimes brought has made them greedy and today's Mafia isn't much better than American Gangs such as Latin kings or cripps.
in Mainland Asia Chinese territories, there are two kind of criminal groups, Triads and Tongs. Some of the Triads are literally ancient originally born as secret societies to oppose Mongol rule and as such are insular in the extreme because no government in the history of China has liked them.
Tongs on the other hand are basically Asian street gangs and as befitting to their chaotic and unruly nature are probably the most vicious of all the listed criminal groups because they don't have anything to lose, they're often poor, badly lead and in constant flux which leads to instability and violence.
