In the future if cloning humans became legal, and the ability to transfer your mind into your clone from your old body was accesbale (Figuring you would be elderly.) Would it be considered murder, or not as it's just your copy. If you were elderly and were given this option would you take, or if you were paralyzed, etc.

It'd be murder, it's still a separate being with its own consciousness.

That reminds me of a movie that these 2 guys would just keep cloning them selves to figure out the cure for the reason why women couldn't bare children or something like that.

But anywho, I think that would be considered murder unless you find some loop hole and it'll count as "assisted suicide"

It's murder unless the body was without a mind.

Murder if there is no capability of transferring further the consciousness to another body. Meaning the death is permanent. But if still can be transferred, it could just be like a frustrated murder or a destruction of property as a human life would not be that fragile and precious anyway.

Kinda reminds me of that messed up episode of Batman Beyond with Ra's Al Ghul

totally agree with this.
I could easily see this process clouding our judgement and making our moral obligations to humanity get very blurry.

@JediXMan: So, if instead of using clones, we used the cast of The Jersey Shore, we'd be in the clear, right?

Technically you would be 'killing' yourself so its suicide, not murder.

it would be morally incomprehensible if the clone was self aware.
but legally it depend on what the laws of that time defines murder.
