LOL or :)???

I think I use both equally.

In general, I most frequently use lol, ^^ and xD. I use :) sometimes, but not a whole lot.

Lol way more.

Even worse, I've said "lol" instead of laughing on multiple occassions

I dislike using either, but definitely emoticons. I use those waaaay too much.

Lol, probably. I usually only include smiley faces when I want to be absolutely sure someone doesn't take something the wrong way.

I say "lol" a lot, but only because I say things that can be construed as "mean" so I add "lol" to let them know I'm not serious.

I need to stop saying "lol". Even when I'm not even really even laughing even.

Most of them when I'm texting, on a forum, etc. I kind of feel like someone is just trying to be nice at someone's attempt to be funny when they say "lol"......

Hate xD though and I feel like I want to vomit just using it now........it is undoubtedly the most obnoxious thing you can send me on the internet........well one of them at least.

I never use JUST lol.

I hate when I send a text and all I get is "Lol" or "Haha."

It immediately makes me want to stop texting that person.

But lol in addition to actual substance is nice, and I use it a lot more than I use ":)" because smiling is for the weak.

lol for smirky or sarcastic/ironic comments.

:) for friends or to smile about happy stuff. But I do not use :) a lot with people I know well.
