After working years of retail, I am sick of "This Christmas." All 9000 covers of it.

@africanwilds: To be fair, I never heard it. It's more "All I Want For Christmas, Is You." She is undeniably talented, but in this instance, I can't get there.

Ever since I was a little kid I hated Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Not the original version but the one where the children those extra lines.

for example:

They never let poor Rudolph...Join in any Reindeer games (like Monopoly!).

Why the hell would reindeer try to play Monopoly - they are anatomically incapable of doing so and do not have any concept of currency!

When you cover a song you have an obligation to respect the original artist dammit!

I just remembered I don't particularly like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." It's not the song itself that I dislike; it's the fact that people always chime in the stupid line such as "like a light bulb." I was actually out caroling, and when we sang "all of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names," I chimed in with, "like hoe bag!" instead of "like Pinocchio!" Some people looked at me with a "what is wrong with you?!" face. An older lady heard me and felt so awkward about the thing she walked away from me. Good times.

You can say that. My mother loves the song, ever since it came out, and she plays it constantly. As does everyone else, it seems.
