God I don't know. I love both of them.

I'll say Kingdom Hearts since that's the first Ps2 game I've ever played but Final Fantasy comes in a close 2nd.

I don't know about that. Too many Final Fantasy games to say that Kingdom Hearts has a better story.

HELLZ no

i dont, square could have replaced all the FF characters with orginal characters and the game would have been the same. If you mean because of FF's success thats why Kh did well then yeah. But if you mean the characters thats a no

The game was a commercial success because the abundance of Disney characters and Final Fantasy characters. They were basically used to market the game itself, and they played a part in the game's storyline. Without them, the game wouldn't be the same, let alone get the same reception it has now.

If thats the case then disney is the reason for it's success because in the first game, The FF characters did nothing, leon and yuffie helped with cid and anerith, but you could only get the good story lines with them after you beat the game.

They are really so different you can't compare.
The Final Fantasy series include a lot of games and each of the later ones are very different, but the Kingdom Hearts games are mainly the same. I think i'll take FF if i must choose, because the main reason i enjoy the KH games is the Disney characters and multitude of cameos.

The gameplay isn't much to brag about, just mash X until you kill everything.

LOL. Not as complex as final Fantasy's gameplay, huh?

Well, some FF games doesn't require much more strategy either, i really think they should offer a hard difficulty setting.
Anyway, thinking about it i don't think i would even play Kingdom Hearts if it were the same game but only had new characters and no FF or Disney characters.

True, but to be honest, there's no need. The game is only as hard as you make. If a boss beats you, it's because of bad strategy and experience. Leveling up would only make the game easier.
