Beastie's were one of the originators, along with guys like Run DMC. Everyone else is an innovator.

Just my opinion. The Genesis age of Hip-Hop was only good for the Message and Rappers Delight as far as I'm concerned.

Kendrick Lamar lyrically is light years better than The Beastie Boys... the thing is that The Beastie Boys in their prime was never lyrically complex... they just made good music during a time that Hip Hop was basically on the rise.

Beastie Boys has some great songs and dope albums.. Does Kendrick Lamar even have an album out?
