He was loosing fans everyday even before he turned into a douche. His original fan base loved him cus he was a cute boy singing love songs. So now I think he's trying to go for the bad boy angle to keep relevant. Money corrupted him that's for sure but I think part of it is an act.

It's a shame that pop stars think they have to go "edgy" to stay relevant. I'm not a fan of One Direction, though I don't mind them. I really hope they turn out better than this.
